Interaction-induced topological charge pump [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review Research, 2020
Based on a topological transition of the symmetry-protected topological phase (SPT), an interaction-induced topological charge pump (iTCP) is proposed with the symmetry-breaking parameter as a synthetic dimension.

A Low Mismatch Current Charge Pump Applied to Phase-Locked Loops [PDF]

open access: yesMicromachines
This paper presents a charge pump circuit with a wide output range and low current mismatch applied to phase-locked loops. In this designed structure, T-shaped analog switches are adopted to suppress the non-ideal effects of clock feedthrough, switching ...

Topological Charge Pumping in Excitonic Insulators [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review Letters, 2021
We show that in excitonic insulators with $s$-wave electron-hole pairing, an applied electric field (either pulsed or static) can induce a $p$-wave component to the order parameter, and further drive it to rotate in the $s+ip$ plane, realizing a Thouless charge pump. In one dimension, each cycle of rotation pumps exactly two electrons across the sample.

Optimization of Charge Pump Based on Piecewise Modeling of Output-Voltage Ripple

open access: yesEnergies, 2021
This work proposes a piecewise modeling of output-voltage ripple for linear charge pumps. The proposed modeling can obtain a more accurate design expression of power-conversion efficiency.

Development of High-Power Charge Pump Rectifier for Microwave Wireless Power Transmission

open access: yesIEEE Journal of Microwaves, 2022
This study theoretically and experimentally indicates that a charge pump rectifier for low-power rectifiers such as RF-ID can be applied to high-power rectifiers and can attain the same level of RF-dc conversion efficiency and twice as high power ...

Charge Pumping in Carbon Nanotubes [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review Letters, 2005
We demonstrate charge pumping in semiconducting carbon nanotubes by a traveling potential wave. From the observation of pumping in the nanotube insulating state we deduce that transport occurs by packets of charge being carried along by the wave. By tuning the potential of a side gate, transport of either electron or hole packets can be realized ...
