Examining the charge storage mechanisms of nanoscale nickel hydroxide

open access: yes, 2019
The aim of this work was to develop mechanistic understanding, as well as techniques to study the charging and discharging behaviour of a material which has controversially been described as either a battery or a pseudocapacitor electrode material. Nickel hydroxide, Ni(OH)2, was chosen as the material of choice due to its long history as a secondary ...

Fusogenic RNA Nanomodules for Fusion‐Mediated and Multiplexed siRNA Delivery

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A fusogenic lipid‐layered RNA nanomodules (L‐CRAMs) enable high‐capacity and long‐lasting siRNA delivery through membrane fusion. These nanomodules carry exceptionally large siRNA payloads, avoid conventional endosomal uptake, and release multiple functional siRNAs through Dicer‐mediated processing.

Risk Premiums and the Storage of Agricultural Commodities [PDF]

open access: yes
The existence of a commodity market risk premium has attracted the interest of researchers for several decades. Most attempts to measure risk premiums have been focused on futures markets.

Lithium storage behaviour of AgNbO3 perovskite: Understanding electrochemical activation and charge storage mechanisms

open access: yesEnergy Storage Materials
In this study, a model AgNbO3 perovskite is prepared via polyacrylamide synthesis technique, and the underlying unique Li+ storage mechanism is studied. This structure is projected to provide low Li+ storage capacity due to all occupied crystallographic sites.

Ambient‐Stable Transparent P‐Type CuI Transistors Via Room‐Temperature Pulsed Laser Deposition

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
An in situ PLD fabricated AlOx${\rm AlO}_x$/CuI/AlOx${\rm AlO}_x$ sandwich structure enables stable CuI TFTs with a field‐effect mobility of 2.3 ±$\pm$ 0.7 cm2${\rm cm}^{2}$ V−1${\rm V}^{-1}$ s−1${\rm s}^{-1}$ and excellent ambient stability. Complementary inverters based on CuI:Rb and ZnO:Al exhibit rail‐to‐rail voltage transfer characteristics and an

Theory of Storage: An Empirical Assessment of the European Natural Gas Market [PDF]

open access: yes
We analyze the relation between European natural gas storage facilities and price patterns at major trading points, considering the theory of storage to derive a testable hypothesis imposed by the non-arbitrage condition.

Study on Na+ Storage Mechanisms of Carbon Black

open access: yesElectrochemistry
To better understand the Na+ storage mechanism of general carbon materials, the suitable choice of study model is really pivotal. Carbon black (CB) attracts us to consider that it is a suitable model to study the Na+ storage mechanism because CB is an ...

Semiconducting Polymers Post‐Functionalized With Ureido‐Pyrimidinone for Robust Stretchable Transistors

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The design of intrinsically robust stretchable semiconducting polymers was achieved through OTBS‐mediated post‐functionalization of PDPP2T side chains with UPy units, generating dual hydrogen‐bonding motifs comprising weaker urethane linkages and strong quadruple UPy interactions along the long alkyl side chain, which is crucial for achieving desirable

Multimode Oxide‐Based Optoelectronic Memtransistor for In‐Sensor Vision Processing

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A multimode optoelectronic memtransistor (OEMT) is demonstrated for vision explainable artificial intelligence (VXAI) hardware. By integrating optical sensing, electrical masking, and non‐volatile memory, the device enables key operations required for generating saliency information.

Is Storage at a Loss Merely an Illusion of Spatial Aggregation? [PDF]

open access: yes
The storage-at-a-loss paradox—stocks despite inadequate price growth to cover storage costs—is an unresolved issue of long-standing interest to economists.
