Charge conservation, entropy current and gravitation

open access: yesInternational Journal of Modern Physics A, 2021
We propose a new class of vector fields to construct a conserved charge in a general field theory whose energy–momentum tensor is covariantly conserved. We show that there always exists such a vector field in a given field theory even without global symmetry.

Semi-inclusive charged-current neutrino-nucleus reactions [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
The general, universal formalism for semi-inclusive charged-current (anti)neutrino-nucleus reactions is given for studies of any hadronic system, namely, either nuclei or the nucleon itself. The detailed developments are presented with the former in mind

Electrical neutrality and $$\beta $$ β -equilibrium conditions in dense quark matter: generation of charged pion condensation by chiral imbalance

open access: yesEuropean Physical Journal C: Particles and Fields, 2020
The phase diagram of dense quark matter with chiral imbalance is considered with the conditions of electric neutrality and $$\beta $$ β -equilibrium. It has been shown recently that chiral imbalance can generate charged pion condensation (PC) in dense ...

The teleost fish PepT1-type peptide transporters and their relationships with neutral and charged substrates

open access: yesFrontiers in Physiology, 2023
In teleosts, two PepT1-type (Slc15a1) transporters, i.e., PepT1a and PepT1b, are expressed at the intestinal level. They translocate charged di/tripeptides with different efficiency, which depends on the position of the charged amino acid in the peptide ...

Charged-Current Neutrino-Nucleus Scattering off the Even Molybdenum Isotopes

open access: yesAdvances in High Energy Physics, 2012
Neutrinos from supernovae constitute important probes of both the currently unknown supernova mechanisms and of neutrino properties. Reliable information about the nuclear responses to supernova neutrinos is therefore crucial.

Search for long-lived heavy neutrinos at the LHC with a VBF trigger

open access: yesEuropean Physical Journal C: Particles and Fields, 2020
The charged current production of long-lived heavy neutrinos at the LHC can use a prompt charged lepton for triggering the measurement of the process. However, in order to fully characterize the heavy neutrino interactions, it is necessary to also probe ...

Implications of a charged-current anomaly at HERA [PDF]

open access: yesPhysics Letters B, 1997
We demonstrate that in the presence of mixing between different scalar leptoquark multiplets it is possible to simultaneously account for the HERA high-$Q^2$ neutral current anomaly, and produce a charged current anomaly of comparable magnitude. The reduced branching ratio to electrons and jets of the lightest leptoquark state results in a significant ...

Charged-Particle Multiplicities in Charged-Current Neutrino-- and Anti-Neutrino--Nucleus Interactions [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
The CHORUS experiment, designed to search for $\nu_{\mu}\to\nu_{\tau}$ oscillations, consists of a nuclear emulsion target and electronic detectors.

Sigma terms in Pion Weak-production near Threshold by Charged Current

open access: yesEPJ Web of Conferences, 2012
We investigated pion production by charged weak current, which comprises vector and axial vector current. In particular, the contribution by the axial vector current is detailed at the pion threshold in terms of multipole amplitudes, which are useful ...
