Microsatellite markers for Bromus tectorum (cheatgrass)
Molecular Ecology Notes, 2002Abstract Bromus tectorum (cheatgrass) is a flourishing invasive weed in the western United States. The objective of our study is to characterize its genetic diversity. We made a B. tectorum genomic library in lambda phage and screened approximately 4000 clones for poly CA and poly CT dinucleotide repeats.

Accumulation of 99Tc by Tumbleweed and Cheatgrass Grown on Arid Soils
Health Physics, 1978AbstractThe accumulation of Tc by tumbleweed and cheatgrass was measured for five soils at one, two, and three months' harvest times. The initial soil concentration of 1.0 pg 99Tc/g added to the soil as pertechnetate, was traced by 95mTc.

Multitemporal spectral analysis for cheatgrass (Bromus tectorum) classification
International Journal of Remote Sensing, 2009Operational satellite remote sensing data can provide the temporal repeatability necessary to capture phenological differences among species. This study develops a multitemporal stacking method coupled with spectral analysis for extracting information from Landsat imagery to provide species-level information.
