Optimizing 3D Bin Packing of Heterogeneous Objects Using Continuous Transformations in SE(3)

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, EarlyView.
This article presents a method for solving the three‐dimensional bin packing problem for heterogeneous objects using continuous rigid‐body transformations in SE(3). A heuristic optimization framework combines signed‐distance functions, neural network approximations, point‐cloud bin modeling, and physics simulation to ensure feasibility and stability ...

Retinal Vessel Segmentation: A Comprehensive Review From Classical Methods to Deep Learning Advances (1982–2025)

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, EarlyView.
Four decades of retinal vessel segmentation research (1982–2025) are synthesized, spanning classical image processing, machine learning, and deep learning paradigms. A meta‐analysis of 428 studies establishes a unified taxonomy and highlights performance trends, generalization capabilities, and clinical relevance.

On Chebyshev Polynomials, Fibonacci Polynomials, and Their Derivatives

open access: yesJournal of Applied Mathematics, 2014
We study the relationship of the Chebyshev polynomials, Fibonacci polynomials, and their rth derivatives. We get the formulas for the rth derivatives of Chebyshev polynomials being represented by Chebyshev polynomials and Fibonacci polynomials.

Two‐Dimensional Flow and Thermal Energy Transfer in Non‐Newtonian Casson–Carreau Ternary Hybrid Nanofluids Over Stationary and Moving Wedge Surfaces With Radiation and Magnetic Field Effects

open access: yesAsia-Pacific Journal of Chemical Engineering, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Efficient thermal management in advanced industrial systems requires improved heat transfer performance, particularly under non‐Newtonian fluid behavior and complex surface geometries. This study investigates the two‐dimensional flow and heat transfer characteristics of ternary hybrid nanofluids over both stationary and moving wedge surfaces ...

An approximate solution of the Blasius problem using spectral method

open access: yesPartial Differential Equations in Applied Mathematics
This paper aims at finding the numerical approximation of a classical Blasius flat plate problem using spectral collocation method. This technique is based on Chebyshev pseudospectral approach that involves the solution is approximated using Chebyshev ...

Numerical Solution of Time-Fractional Diffusion-Wave Equations via Chebyshev Wavelets Collocation Method

open access: yesAdvances in Mathematical Physics, 2017
The second-kind Chebyshev wavelets collocation method is applied for solving a class of time-fractional diffusion-wave equation. Fractional integral formula of a single Chebyshev wavelet in the Riemann-Liouville sense is derived by means of shifted ...

A New Template Family For The Detection Of Gravitational Waves From Comparable Mass Black Hole Binaries

open access: yes, 2007
In order to improve the phasing of the comparable-mass waveform as we approach the last stable orbit for a system, various re-summation methods have been used to improve the standard post-Newtonian waveforms.

Variable Temperature Studies of Two Calcium Uranates α‐Ca3UO6 and Ca2UO5

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, EarlyView.
The structures and thermal responses of the calcium uranates α‐Ca3UO6 and Ca2UO5 were investigated using in situ synchrotron x‐ray diffraction and neutron powder diffraction. Despite the very similar chemical compositions, the structural response of the two calcium uranates is shown to be complex and varied.

On Solution of Fredholm Integrodifferential Equations Using Composite Chebyshev Finite Difference Method

open access: yesAbstract and Applied Analysis, 2013
A new numerical method is introduced for solving linear Fredholm integrodifferential equations which is based on a hybrid of block-pulse functions and Chebyshev polynomials using the well-known Chebyshev-Gauss-Lobatto collocation points.
