This study presents a versatile approach to harnessing miscible aqueous domains, enabling liquid‐in‐liquid compartmentalization using a barrier formed in situ rather than bulk immiscibility. The barrier forms upon the complexation of multifunctional nanoparticles and ligands at the contact boundary of aqueous phases.

Base metal mineralisation associated with Ordovician shales in south-west Scotland [PDF]
Several narrow, lenticular belts of black cherty mudstone and siltstone (the Moffat Shales), alternating with thick greywacke sequences, strike north-east to south-west across Galloway with uniformly steep dip.

Stellar evolution and modelling stars
In this chapter I give an overall description of the structure and evolution of stars of different masses, and review the main ingredients included in state-of-the-art calculations aiming at reproducing observational features.

Counterion Dependent Side‐Chain Relaxation Stiffens a Chemically Doped Thienothiophene Copolymer
Oxidation of a thienothiophene copolymer, p(g3TT‐T2), via different doping strategies and dopant molecules resulted in materials with similar oxidation levels and a high electrical conductivity of ≈100 S cm−1. However, mechanical properties varied significantly, with sub‐glass transition temperatures and elastic moduli spanning from –44°C to –3°C and ...

Cell-laden biomimetic microneedles reconstruct skin rete ridge and stem cell niche
The traditional skin graft wound repair strategy for burns is unable to reconstruct the normal anatomy of the skin, resulting in quality problems such as scarring, which have always been the bottleneck of burn medicine.

Domain Wall Rebounds Driven by Competing Entropic and Spin‐Transfer Torques in Cylindrical Nanowires
Domain‐wall motion in cylindrical magnetic nanowires driven by nanosecond current pulses. Low current densities efficiently displace domain walls, whereas higher currents cause rebound at the wire ends. The effect results from the interplay between spin‐transfer torque and thermally induced processes, highlighting the role of thermal gradients in ...
