Quasi‐Static to Supersonic Energy Absorption of Nanoarchitected Tubulanes and Schwarzites
Nanoarchitected energy‐absorptive Tubulanes exhibit record energy absorption under quasi‐static conditions and exceptional inelastic energy dissipation under 750 m s−1 ballistics impact, with high performance spanning strain rates of 12 orders of magnitude.

Chemical toxins and body defences.
Without realising it, we are all exposed to a wide range of toxins every day. Some are a natural part of our diet and environment and some are man-made. Over evolutionary time, biochemical pathways are developed that have allowed our bodies to cope with this onslaught.

We have developed DEX/GM, an all‐natural, personalizable hybrid vaccine designed by coating dendritic cell‐derived exosomes (DEX) onto tumor cell membranes (GM) for sustained prophylaxis against glioblastoma (GBM). ABSTRACT Glioblastoma (GBM), one of the most aggressive and lethal brain tumors, remains incurable with a poor clinical prognosis.

Receptor‐Free Identification of Toxic Gases Enabled by Hygroscopic Aqueous Salt Films
Water as a gas sensor coating sounds impossible—until it stops evaporating. Here, hygroscopic salt solutions (LiCl, LiBr, H3PO4) form non‐drying aqueous films on CNT chemiresistors under ambient air. Gases partition into these liquid layers, sometimes transforming into water, and generate salt‐specific resistance fingerprints across a four‐channel ...

Microorganisms associated with plant roots significantly impact the quality and quantity of plant defences. However, the bottom-up effects of soil microbes on the aboveground multitrophic interactions remain largely under studied. To address this gap, we

Medical chemical defence against chemical nerve agent threats [PDF]
The high toxicity of organophosphorus compounds (OP ; tabun, sarin, VX, cyclosarin and soman) originates from the irreversible inhibition of acetylcholinesterase (AChE), an essential enzyme in cholinergic neurotransmission. Poisonings that lead to life-threatening toxic manifestations call for immediate treatment, which usually consists of a combined ...

Nanodiamond Quantum Sensors for Probing Free Radical Biology
Free radicals play key roles in cellular signaling and disease but remain difficult to measure in living systems. Nanodiamonds (NDs) with nitrogen‐vacancy (NV) centers enable quantum sensing of local magnetic noise via T₁ relaxometry, providing nondestructive radical detection in living cells.
