Sustainable Revival of Spent Lithium Iron Phosphate Cathodes in Li‐Ion Batteries: Recycling and Surface Engineering Approaches

open access: yesENERGY &ENVIRONMENTAL MATERIALS, EarlyView.
Schematic illustration of the lifecycle of LiFePO4 cathodes. Lithiation and delithiation reactions happen through its discharging and charging processes. Recycling pathways including hydrometallurgy, pyrometallurgy, and direct regeneration enable sustainable reuse of spent LFP materials. Surface modification approaches (carbon, polymer, and metal/metal

Sprayable Polyolefin Sorbents Enabled by Bio‐Solvents for Large‐Scale Oil and Chemical Spill Recovery

open access: yesENERGY &ENVIRONMENTAL MATERIALS, EarlyView.
A sprayable POE‐based sorbent formulated with a green solvent blend of α‐pinene, D‐limonene, and p‐cymene enables rapid in situ film formation via solvent evaporation, allowing efficient pollutant capture. The system exhibits high oil uptake (37.3 g g−1) and effectively removes up to 60 mL of VLSFO under simulated marine spill conditions.

Synthesis and Characterization of Oil-soluble Dispersants [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
Oil-soluble dispersants are some of the most important additives used by the oil industry. Their function is to reduce the aggregation of carbonaceous deposits produced during the normal operation of the engine.

Optimizing Fabrication of Plasma‐Driven CuO Shell Over Porous Al2O3 Substrate to Meet Coating Issues

open access: yesJournal of the Chinese Chemical Society, EarlyView.
In situ Cu2O‐to‐CuO transformation during plasma electrolytic oxidation of aluminum alloys. ABSTRACT A plasma‐driven in situ conversion strategy was developed in which Cu2O nanoparticles introduced into an alkaline phosphate–hydroxide electrolyte undergo oxidative transformation to CuO within plasma micro‐discharge channels during plasma electrolytic ...

Dispersants and your health [PDF]

open access: yes
Oil spill dispersants are products that break an oil slick into small drops and stop the oil from coming back together to make a new slick. They do not remove oil from water but they do make it easier for nature to break down the oil.

Micellization and Adsorption of a Series of Succinimide Dispersants

open access: yes, 2016
The efficiency of a series of nonionic dispersants at stabilizing carbon-rich particles in oil was evaluated. The dispersants were synthesized by coupling a polyamine to two polyisobutylenes terminated at one end with a succinic anhydride (PIBSA).

Le problème des hydrates dans le contexte de la production et du transport polyphasiques des pétroles bruts et des gaz naturels. Deuxième partie : les solutions possibles aux difficultés d'exploitation générées par les hydrates Hydrates Problem Within the Framework of Multiphase Production and Transport of Crude Oils and Natural Gases. Part Two: Possible Solutions to Exploitation Difficulties Generated by Hydrates

open access: yesOil & Gas Science and Technology, 2006
L'exploitation en mer des gisements de combustibles fossiles fluides a amplifié le besoin d'accroître nos connaissances sur les hydrates qui sont susceptibles de boucher les installations de production, de traitement et de transport.

A Green Amphoteric Surfactant Derived From Rapeseed Oil for Enhanced Oil Recovery From Carbonate Acidic Oil Reservoirs

open access: yesJournal of Surfactants and Detergents, EarlyView.
The Green Amphoteric Surfactant Derived From Rapeseed Oil for Enhanced Oil Recovery From Carbonate Acidic Oil Reservoirs. ABSTRACT Surfactants with both positive and negative functional groups (amphoteric or zwitterionic) are particularly advantageous in acidic oil reservoirs because they remain stable under harsh chemical conditions, tolerate acidic ...
