Dispersants in Stirred Ball Mill Grinding

open access: yesKONA Powder and Particle Journal, 2014
The influence of chemical dispersants on the milling of dolomite was examined using a stirred ball mill. The effective degree of grinding was found to depend on the aggregation/dispersion state or the viscosity of ...

Chemical affinity and dispersibility of boron nitride nanotubes

open access: yesNanoscale Advances, 2020
The chemical affinity of purified boron nitride nanotubes (BNNTs) is measured in terms of Hansen solubility parameters, taking into account relative sedimentation time in various solvents. This improves predictions for the dispersion of BNNTs.

Corexit-EC9527A Disrupts Retinol Signaling and Neuronal Differentiation in P19 Embryonal Pluripotent Cells. [PDF]

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2016
Corexit-EC9500A and Corexit-EC9527A are two chemical dispersants that have been used to remediate the impact of the 2010 Deepwater Horizon oil spill. Both dispersants are composed primarily of organic solvents and surfactants and act by emulsifying the ...

Uncovering Aggregation‐Induced Emission in Carbon Dots for Color‐Changing Hydrogels and Information Encryption

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
Red‐emissive carbon dots (R‐CDs) exhibiting aggregation‐induced emission (AIE) and aggregation‐caused quenching (ACQ) effects are synthesized from citric acid and urea. They display weak blue fluorescence in water but strong red emission in DMF due to aggregation.
