Root protein interatomic network obtained from citrus seedlings subjected to water deficit : S08O03 [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
Citrus Brazilian industry may be strongly affected by drought. Characterize rootstock behavior under different environmental conditions is crucial, since rootstocks may confer better adaption to environmental stresses.

Artificial Neural Network Model for Alkali-Surfactant-Polymer Flooding in Viscous Oil Reservoirs: Generation and Application

open access: yesEnergies, 2016
Chemical flooding has been widely utilized to recover a large portion of the oil remaining in light and viscous oil reservoirs after the primary and secondary production processes.

POM‐Based Water Splitting Catalyst Under Acid Conditions Driven by Its Assembly on Carbon Nanotubes

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A newly‐engineered POM‐based electrocatalyst incorporating non‐innocent counter cations exhibits fast kinetics for either the OER or HER under strongly acidic conditions (1 m H2SO4), depending on whether it is assembled on carbon nanotubes (1@CNT) or physically mixed with them (1/CNT). In water‐splitting tests using a two‐electrode setup, these systems

Enhancing Grayscale E‐Beam Lithography: Thermal Treatment of Novolak‐Based Resist for 3D Nanostructures

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
Surface roughness and chemistry of novolak‐based grayscale resists are dependent on both exposure dose and post‐exposure thermal treatment. The observed trends align with the viscoelastic phase separation model and underscore the need to consider both thermodynamic and kinetic factors in resist processing. By tailoring thermal treatment, it is possible

Surfactant–Polymer Formulation for Chemical Flooding in Oil Reservoirs

open access: yesEnergies
A significant part of oil fields has reached a late stage of development, where technologies aimed at increasing the oil recovery factor are becoming particularly relevant. One such technology is surfactant–polymer flooding. To implement this technology,

Opportunities for Multiscale Pattern Modulation with Temporally Arrested Breath Figures

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
This works presents the temporally arrested breath figure methodology and its opportunities for pattern modulation. Through thermodynamic and photochemical phase change handles, this method uses drop‐wise condensation as a dynamic template for fast, accessible and scalable micropatterning.

Cr2AlC: A High‐Temperature Transparent Conducting Ceramic

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
The high‐quality epitaxial Cr2AlC(0001) layer combines a low resistivity of 42.5 µΩcm, 84% optical transmittance at 900 nm, and thermal stability up to 800–1100°C. It stands out as an excellent high‐temperature transparent conductor with a negligible resistivity size effect, exceptional scaling (ρoλ < 3 × 10−16 Ωm2), and a figure of merit of 0.004 Ω−1.
