Interacting circular nanomagnets

open access: yes, 2001
Regular 2D rectangular lattices of permalloy nanoparticles (40 nm in diameter) were prepared by the method of the electron lithography. The magnetization curves were studied by Hall magnetometry with the compensation technique for different external ...

Thickness‐Dependent Skyrmion Evolution in Fe3GeTe2 During Magnetization Reversal

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, Volume 36, Issue 18, 2 March 2026.
Thickness‐ and field‐dependent magnetic domain behavior in 2D van der Waals Fe3GeTe2 is studied using Lorentz TEM and micromagnetic simulations. A patch‐like domain phase evolves from skyrmions during magnetization reversal, and step edges between thickness regions act as pinning sites.

On the primordial condensation and accretion environment and the remanent magnetization of meteorites [PDF]

open access: yes
In the context of various models for the early evolution of a solar nebula, the possible roles assigned to ambient magnetic fields and the paleointensities required to establish the stable natural remanent magnetization observed in meteorites, are ...

Enhanced Nitric Oxide Electroreduction to Ammonia via Modulating Spin‐Polarization of Fe Single‐Atom Catalysts

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, Volume 36, Issue 24, 23 March 2026.
A strategic spin‐polarization suppression in Fe single‐atom catalysts is proposed to enhance electrocatalytic reduction of NO to NH3. Employing a top‐down electrospinning strategy, self‐supported FeSAC with Fe‐N3S1 coordination structure and spin‐state transition is engineered from high‐spin to low‐spin.

Episodic Seafloor Hydrothermal Alteration as a Source of Stable Remagnetizations in Archean Volcanic Rocks

open access: yesGeochemistry, Geophysics, Geosystems
Interpreting the paleomagnetic records of altered rocks, especially those from Earth's earliest history, is complicated by metamorphic overprints and recrystallization of ferromagnetic minerals.

Enhancement of the magnetic anisotropy of nanometer-sized Co clusters: influence of the surface and of the inter-particle interactions

open access: yes, 2001
We study the magnetic properties of spherical Co clusters with diameters between 0.8 nm and 5.4 nm (25 to 7500$ atoms) prepared by sequential sputtering of Co and Al2O3.

Micromagnetic Simulations of Chemical Remanent Magnetization Acquisition in Single‐Vortex Magnetite Particles

open access: yesGeophysical Research Letters
Abstract Magnetic minerals can preserve remanent magnetization to provide ancient magnetic field records. Although thermoremanent magnetization (TRM) is well understood, chemical remanent magnetization (CRM) from chemical processes is also prevalent in nature and can complicate TRM records by introducing additional remanence signals ...

Hybrid Microdiscs for Magnetically Induced Non‐Cytotoxic Thermal Actuation and Programmable Biomolecule Delivery

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, Volume 36, Issue 18, 2 March 2026.
Hybrid magnetic microdiscs with customizable size and composition are engineered through refined photolithography and LbL assembly. Embedded Fe3O4 nanoparticles enable localized, non‐cytotoxic heating, while protein cargos can be incorporated in tunable quantities.

Tunable magnetism on the lateral mesoscale by post-processing of Co/Pt heterostructures

open access: yes, 2015
Controlling magnetic properties on the nm-scale is essential for basic research in micro-magnetism and spin-dependent transport, as well as for various applications such as magnetic recording, imaging and sensing.

Non‐Destructive Laser Nanopatterning of Superconducting Heterostructures in Topological Sn Thin Films

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, Volume 38, Issue 13, 3 March 2026.
We demonstrate successful fabrication of high‐quality α‐Sn/β‐Sn planar nanostructures with arbitrary shapes by focused laser irradiation on topological Dirac semimetal α‐Sn thin films. The irradiated regions transform into atomically smooth, superconducting β‐Sn with a critical temperature of 3.7 K.
