Dual‐Mode Electrophoretic Displays Enabled by Quantum Dot‐Decorated PR48:2 Pigment Particles and TiO2 for All‐Weather Visibility, Excellent Bistability, and Enhanced Readability

open access: yesENERGY &ENVIRONMENTAL MATERIALS, EarlyView.
This study presents a novel quantum dot electrophoretic display (QDEPD), which combines electro‐controlled reflection and optically‐triggered emission to achieve efficient multi‐modal switching within a single pixel. By incorporating multi‐component nanostructures, the system enhances functional integration and multi‐modal response capabilities.

In situ mineralogical-chemical analysis of Martian materials at landing/roving sites by active and passive remote sensing methods [PDF]

open access: yes
Remote sensing of the Martian surface from the ground and from orbiting spacecraft has provided some first-order insight into the mineralogical-chemical composition and the weathering state of Martian surface materials. Much more detailed information can

The significance of river water physico-chemical monitoring: is climate change increasing the intensity and rate of rock weathering?

open access: yesDiscover Water
Abstract The alteration of rainfall patterns, the possible worldwide increase of mean temperatures, and the recurrence of extreme climatic events roughly describe climate change, as widely perceived. Accordingly, geochemical investigations are researching if climate change may accelerate the weathering of crustal rocks, through its net effect on the ...

Sidelining Mitigation: Climate Delay Discourses Among Municipal Legislators in Southeastern Brazil

open access: yesEnvironmental Policy and Governance, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This study investigates how municipal legislators frame climate mitigation and how these framings shift responsibility, narrow the perceived scope of municipal authority, and reduce the urgency or feasibility of local action. We analyzed 31 interviews with city councilors serving on Permanent Environmental Committees across municipalities in ...
