Malathion resistance in Spanish field populations of Ceratitis capitata is associated with a point mutation (R allele) and a heterogeneous duplication (RS haplotype) of the Ccace2 gene. The R allele imposes a higher fitness cost than the RS haplotype under laboratory and field conditions. An evolutionary model supports the stability of the RS haplotype

The 454A‐CYP9K1‐mediated resistance confers fitness advantages regarding pupation and longevity in Anopheles funestus, resulting to a slow susceptibility reversion. By contrast, the 119F‐GSTe2 resistance allele rapidly declines. Abstract BACKGROUND Resistance management is critical to maintain insecticide effectiveness in malaria control, and ...

Chlorantraniliprole enhanced growth and biomass in coffee seedlings infested by susceptible Leucoptera coffeella, while resistant populations limited its insecticidal performance. These findings emphasize both the bioactivator potential of chlorantraniliprole and the challenges of managing resistance in coffee leaf miner control.

Identifying resistance‐conferring cytochrome P450s requires integrating weed characterization, gene discovery and functional validation. No single approach is sufficient to distinguish causal resistance genes from herbicide‐metabolizing enzymes. Abstract Cytochrome P450 monooxygenases (P450s) play a pivotal role in metabolic herbicide resistance, yet ...
