From Cherenkov Radiation to Generalized Super-Cherenkov Exotic Decays

open access: yes, 2008
Generalized Super-Cherenkov Radiations (SCR), as well as their SCR-signatures are investigated. Two general SCR-coherence conditions are found as two natural extremes of the same spontaneous particles decays in (dielectric, nuclear or hadronic) media.

Study of the statistical properties of the detected cosmic rays [PDF]

open access: yesЯдерна фізика та енергетика, 2008
The results of statistic analysis of Cherenkov radiation detection data are presented. Some abnormalities in Fourier and wavelet spectra of the analyzed process have been found.

The Gravitational Cherenkov Radiation

open access: yes, 2001
An example of discontinuity of the energy-momentum tensor moving at superluminal velocity is discussed. It is shown that the gravitational Mach cone is formed. The power spectrum of the corresponding Cherenkov radiation is evaluated.

Vacuum Cherenkov radiation for nonminimal dimension-5 Lorentz violation

open access: yesEuropean Physical Journal C: Particles and Fields
Vacuum Cherenkov radiation is investigated in the Lorentz-violating Standard-Model Extension for isotropic dim-5 operators $$\hat{m}$$ m ^ and $$\hat{a}^{\mu }$$ a ^ μ in the fermion sector. Both the kinematics and dynamics of this process are studied by
