Integrability in gravity from Chern-Simons theory [PDF]
This paper presents a new perspective on integrability in theories of gravity. We show how the stationary, axisymmetric sector of General Relativity can be described by the boundary dynamics of a four-dimensional Chern-Simons theory.

U(1) CS theory vs SL(2) CS formulation: Boundary theory and Wilson line
We first derive the boundary theory from the U(1) Chern-Simons theory. The boundary action on an n-sheet manifold appears from its back-reaction of the Wilson line.

Twistors, the ASD Yang-Mills equations and 4d Chern-Simons theory
We show that the approaches to integrable systems via 4d Chern-Simons theory and via symmetry reductions of the anti-self-dual Yang-Mills equations are closely related, at least classically.

Holographic QCD3 and Chern-Simons theory from anisotropic supergravity
Based on the gauge-gravity duality, we study the three-dimensional QCD (QCD3) and Chern-Simons theory by constructing the anisotropic black D3-brane solution in IIB supergravity. The deformed bulk geometry is obtained by performing a double Wick rotation

Three-dimensional de Sitter horizon thermodynamics
We explore thermodynamic contributions to the three-dimensional de Sitter horizon originating from metric and Chern-Simons gauge field fluctuations. In Euclidean signature these are computed by the partition function of gravity coupled to matter semi ...

Supersymmetric Chern-Simons Theory and Supersymmetric Quantum Hall Liquid [PDF]
We develop a supersymmetric extension of Chern-Simons theory and Chern-Simons-Landau-Ginzburg theory for supersymmetric quantum Hall liquid. Supersymmetric counterparts of topological and gauge structures peculiar to the Chern-Simons theory are inspected

Kählerian effective potentials for Chern–Simons-matter theories
In this paper, we will calculate the effective potential for a theory of multiple M2-branes. As the theory of multiple M2-branes can be described by a Chern–Simons-matter theory, this will be done by calculating the Kählerian effective potential for a ...

D-branes in Massive IIA and Solitons in Chern-Simons Theory [PDF]
We investigate D2-branes and D4-branes parallel to D8-branes. The low energy world volume theory on the branes is non-supersymmetric Chern-Simons theory.

Symmetries of abelian Chern-Simons theories and arithmetic
We determine the unitary and anti-unitary Lagrangian and quantum symmetries of arbitrary abelian Chern-Simons theories. The symmetries depend sensitively on the arithmetic properties (e.g.
