The Thermal Free Energy in Large N Chern-Simons-Matter Theories

open access: yes, 2013
We compute the thermal free energy in large N U(N) Chern-Simons-matter theories with matter fields (scalars and/or fermions) in the fundamental representation, in the large temperature limit.

Compactifications of strata of differentials

open access: yesBulletin of the London Mathematical Society, EarlyView.
Abstract In this informal expository note, we quickly introduce and survey compactifications of strata of holomorphic 1‐forms on Riemann surfaces, that is, spaces of translation surfaces. In the last decade, several of these have been constructed, studied, and successfully applied to problems.

Integrability in gravity from Chern-Simons theory

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics
This paper presents a new perspective on integrability in theories of gravity. We show how the stationary, axisymmetric sector of General Relativity can be described by the boundary dynamics of a four-dimensional Chern-Simons theory.

Regularization and Renormalization of Chern-Simons Theory [PDF]

open access: yes, 1993
We analyze some features of the perturbative quantization of Chern-Simons theory (CST) in the Landau gauge. In this gauge the theory is known to be perturbatively finite. We consider the renormalization scheme in which the renormalized parameter $k$ equals the bare or classical one and show that it constitutes a natural parametrization for the quantum ...

Farber's Lipogranulomatosis: Multimodal Therapy With Tocilizumab and Consolidative HSCT Improves Assessment, and Long‐Term Outcome

open access: yesJIMD Reports, Volume 66, Issue 5, September 2025.
ABSTRACT Farber's lipogranulomatosis (FL) is an autosomal recessive lipid storage disorder, arising as a consequence of genetic acid ceramidase deficiency. Clinically, it presents as severe arthritis, voice hoarseness, and widespread, painful subcutaneous nodules (SCN).

Exact Results for Wilson Loops in Superconformal Chern-Simons Theories with Matter [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
We use localization techniques to compute the expectation values of supersymmetric Wilson loops in Chern-Simons theories with matter. We find the path-integral reduces to a non-Gaussian matrix model. The Wilson loops we consider preserve a single complex

Axion‐Like Interactions and CFT in Topological Matter, Anomaly Sum Rules and the Faraday Effect

open access: yesAdvanced Physics Research, Volume 4, Issue 7, July 2025.
This review investigates the connection between chiral anomalies and their manifestation in topological materials, using both perturbative methods based on ordinary quantum field theory and conformal field theory (CFT). It emphasizes the role of CFT in momentum space for parity‐odd correlation functions, and their reconstruction by the inclusion of a ...

Maxwell-Chern-Simons theory and an ambiguity in Chern-Simons perturbation theory

open access: yesPhysics Letters B, 1992
Abstract We calculate the one-loop effective potential for a matter scalar field in the N =2 supersymmetric Maxwell-Chern-Simons model. It is found that the degeneracy of the classical potential is not lifted by radiative corrections. We show that reduction to the effective potential for the Chern-Simons theory as a limit from the Maxwell-Chern ...

Nodes, Monopoles and Confinement in 2+1-Dimensional Gauge Theories [PDF]

open access: yes, 1995
In the presence of Chern-Simons interactions the wave functionals of physical states in 2+1-dimensional gauge theories vanish at anumber of nodal points.
