Long-term mental health crisis among municipal public employees caused by the Fukushima nuclear accident and subsequent disasters: Questionnaire survey 10 years postdisaster. [PDF]
The results of this study showed that the psychological burden on MPEs was particularly severe after the nuclear accident and subsequent disasters. We summarized five common risk factors in all disasters and seven additional risk factors in cases of nuclear accidents that cause severe psychological stress in MPEs.

Reconstruction and resilience after Fukushima: A critical analysis of nuclear risk and disaster
Abstract This article revisits the concept of reconstruction in light of the Fukushima nuclear accident on March 11, 2011. It also offers an analysis of the reconstruction policy launched by the Japanese authorities in the context of the risk due to low‐dose radiation. What does reconstruction mean after this nuclear disaster?

Advancing Small Modular Reactor Technology Assessment in the Czech Republic, Egypt, and Poland
This paper introduces the utilization of the International Atomic Energy Agency’s toolkit for reactor technology assessment (RTA) application to deploy small modular reactors (SMRs) in the Czech Republic, Egypt, and Poland. The increasing demand for clean energy has led to the prominence of small modular reactors (SMRs) in addressing global energy ...

This research determines the Acceptable Level of Acceptance (ALA) based on the countries with active Nuclear Power Plant (NPP). The ALA is a particular value of public acceptance of NPP, indicating public support and participation in the program. If the public acceptance level is lower than the ALA, then the probability of public resistance against the

Strategic roadmap to assess forest vulnerability under air pollution and climate change
Air pollution and climate change interact in affecting forest ecosystems. IUFRO experts propose major prospects for protecting vulnerable forests. We need more long‐term ground monitoring sites, satellite monitoring, species‐specific critical levels, combined experimental studies e.g.

Estimation of Explosion Energy Yield at Chernobyl NPP Accident
The value of the 133Xe/133mXe isometric activity ratio for the stationary regime of reactor work is about 35, and that for an instant fission (explosion) is about 11, which allowed estimation of the nuclear component of the instant (explosion) energy release during the NPP accident.

A democratic nuclear energy transition? Public participation in nuclear activities
Abstract Governments, local authorities and civil society organizations are becoming increasingly vocal regarding the domestic and transboundary risks that nuclear power represents to health and the environment. While participatory rights are gaining importance in the nuclear sector, nuclear‐related activities have been at the centre of inconsistencies
