Trait‐based responses of soil nematode communities to land use and climate change

open access: yesJournal of Applied Ecology, Volume 63, Issue 2, February 2026.
By linking nematode traits to soil moisture and soil pore structure, our findings show that the effect of future climate on nematode body traits is land‐use dependent, likely reflecting stronger bottom‐up or top‐down regulation in croplands and grasslands, respectively. This trait‐based approach offers a practical framework for using nematode body size

Statistical treatment of aberration of chernozems in area Moravia against complex soil survey

open access: yesActa Universitatis Agriculturae et Silviculturae Mendelianae Brunensis, 2006
In this paper, an attempt at measure formulation of aberation in the set of results of soil analyses observed on chernozems within Soil science is presented. The statistical evaluation was realized based on the report results from separate districts. The

Summer cover crops impact weed biomass and C and N acquisition

open access: yesAgronomy Journal, Volume 118, Issue 1, January/February 2026.
Abstract Despite the potential to improve nutrient cycling, weed suppression, and system resilience, mixed‐species cover crops remain underutilized in organic irrigated systems. This study evaluated the influence of cover crop diversity and associated weeds on biomass production (both cover crops and weeds), as well as carbon (C) and nitrogen (N ...

NORMS OF CHANGE OF PHYSICAL PROPERTIES OF SOILS OF STEPPE, ARID AND SEMI-DESERT ZONES OF EUROPEAN RUSSIAN TERRITORIES

open access: yesБюллетень Почвенного института им. В.В. Докучаева, 2011
Norms of change of physical properties of arable land have been developed chernozems of steppe, chestnut soils of dry-steppe and light-chestnut soils of desert steppe zones of the European territory of Russia depending on the nature of anthropogenic ...

Resoiling on anthropogenically disturbed surfaces in the southern taiga subzone [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
Based on investigating dated anthropogenic structures, we present the results derived from studying the development features of soddy podzolic soils over the course of the first 600 years from the zero time of soil formation.

Soil combinations as an object of digital soil mapping: forest-steppe of the Oka-Don lowland

open access: yesБюллетень Почвенного института им. В.В. Докучаева
A 0.5 million-hectare study area of the Bityug-Saval-Tsna interfluve of the Oka-Don lowland demonstrates the potential of digital mapping of soil combinations in the forest-steppe zone. The gently rugged topography of the interfluve and deposits with low
