Diversity of Resilin Incidence in the Insect Leg

open access: yesJournal of Morphology, Volume 287, Issue 6, June 2026.
Resilin incidences in the insect cuticle are commonly detected by fluorescence microscopy using the property of Resilin protein matrices to emit blue light after excitation with UV light. This indirect method produces significant background signal.

Gastric Cancer: Pathobiology and Therapeutics

open access: yesMedComm, Volume 7, Issue 6, June 2026.
Gastric cancer is a multistep process driven by the interplay of microbial virulence, host epithelial injury, and evolving molecular reprogramming. Initiation involves pathogen‐induced epigenetic alterations and the early subversion of key oncogenic signaling networks, facilitating the transition from chronic injury to metaplasia and malignant ...

Fetal Instability and Resuscitative Management During Fetal Intervention: A Retrospective, Descriptive Analysis of 245 Fetal Cardiac and Spina Bifida Procedures

open access: yesPrenatal Diagnosis, Volume 46, Issue 7, Page 1104-1111, June 2026.
ABSTRACT Objective The heterogeneity of fetal surgery has led to variability in the nature and frequency of fetal instability. Understanding these differences is critical for optimizing management. Methods We reviewed all fetal atrial septal interventions (FASI) and fetoscopic myelomeningocele (fMMC) repairs with fetal instability performed at our ...

Effect of Anthocyanin‐Rich New Zealand Blackcurrant on Tumour Necrosis Factor‐α–Induced Plasminogen Activator Inhibitor‐1 Release in Airway Epithelial Cells: A Preliminary Study

open access: yesPhytochemicals in Food and Medicine, Volume 1, Issue 2, June 2026.
Pretreatment with New Zealand blackcurrant anthocyanins nonsignificantly reduced TNF‐α–induced PAI‐1 release in bronchial epithelial cells. The small sample size may have influenced the lack of statistical significance. This study provides preliminary evidence of possible effects of NZBC anthocyanins on PAI‐1 secretion but warrants further extensive ...
