Multimodal Layer‐Crossing Interrogation of Brain Circuits Enabled by Microfluidic Axialtrodes

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The study introduces a flexible microfluidic axialtrode that integrates optical, electrical, and chemical modalities within a single polymer fiber. By redistributing electrodes and fluidic channels along the fiber axis via angled cleaving, it enables simultaneous optogenetic stimulation, electrophysiological recording, and drug delivery across brain ...

Persistent air leak secondary to pneumothorax in COVID-19: A case report and review of literature

open access: yesRespiratory Medicine Case Reports
An air leak is a pathologic communication between an area of the endobronchial tree and the pleural space, causing continued air flow. The communication can originate from a distal portion of the airway, causing an alveolar-pleural fistula, or from a ...

Gut Microbe‐Driven Resistance Mechanisms in Propylea Japonica: Insights from Horizontal Gene Transfer and Oxidative Phosphorylation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Acinetobacter regulates dinotefuran tolerance in Propylea japonica by mediating the expression of the horizontally transferred gene PjDUF1. Abstract Insect–microbial symbiont relationships are widespread in nature and often involve lateral gene transfer.
