When Aid Comes With Strings: Donor Power and Everyday Anti‐Trafficking Work in Moldova

open access: yesInternational Migration, Volume 64, Issue 2, April 2026.
ABSTRACT Anti‐trafficking governance in Moldova unfolds far from the conference rooms where global priorities are set. Drawing on ethnographically informed research and 15 interviews with frontline practitioners, this article shows how donor agendas shape the daily realities of anti‐trafficking work, not only through funding, but through the softer ...

Reconfigurable Three‐Dimensional Superconducting Nanoarchitectures

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, Volume 36, Issue 20, 9 March 2026.
3D superconducting nanostructures offer new possibilities for emergent physical phenomena. However, fabricating complex geometries remains challenging. Here 3D nanoprinting of complex 3D superconducting nanoarchitectures is established. As well as propagating superconducting vortices in 3D, anisotropic superconducting properties with geometric ...

Seed fossil record of Solanaceae revisited

open access: yesTAXON, Volume 75, Issue 1, February 2026.
Abstract The fossil record for Solanaceae has a complex taxonomic history, with many species originally described in the family being subsequently shown to belong in other plant families. In this work, we present an in‐depth analysis of the nightshade seed fossil record, which corresponds to the largest amount of fossil material for the family.

Vortex Ratchet Effect in Superconductor Open Nanotubes and 3D Nanoflakes

open access: yesphysica status solidi (RRL) – Rapid Research Letters, Volume 19, Issue 12, December 2025.
Magnetic flux quanta in 3D superconductor nanotubes move in the regions where the normal component of the applied magnetic field is close to maximum. Asymmetric pinning sites placed in these areas result in an enhanced vortex ratchet effect compared to planar systems.

Risk Factors for Hearing Loss Are Comparable in Preterm Versus Term Children: A Systematic Review

open access: yesActa Paediatrica, Volume 114, Issue 11, Page 2763-2782, November 2025.
ABSTRACT Aim Hearing loss occurs more frequently in preterm children. However, the influence of prematurity itself is unclear. We examined whether risk factors for hearing loss differ between preterm and term infants. Methods We conducted a systematic search of three databases in March 2023 for studies comparing risk factors for hearing loss in preterm

Spatiotemporal Variability of Dendroecological Indicators in Pedunculate Oak (Quercus robur L.) Tree‐Rings Across Europe in Relation to Species Distribution Models

open access: yesGlobal Change Biology, Volume 31, Issue 11, November 2025.
Our study examined how the pedunculate oak (Quercus robur) responds to climate change across Europe, utilizing tree rings from over 3300 trees. We found that oaks in drier regions are more affected by current growing‐season conditions, while those in cooler areas respond to the climate conditions of previous growing seasons.
