Microbial Loads in Traumatized Immature Teeth and Their Impact on the Treatment Outcomes of Regenerative Endodontic Treatment: A Randomized Clinical Trial Comparing Chlorhexidine and Calcium Hydroxide

open access: yesDental Traumatology, Volume 41, Issue 5, Page 501-515, October 2025.
ABSTRACT Introduction Regenerative endodontic treatment (RET) aims to promote root maturation in necrotic immature teeth, where effective microbial disinfection is crucial for treatment success. This study evaluated the effect of calcium hydroxide (CH) and 2% chlorhexidine gluconate (CHD) as intracanal medicaments and their impact on bacterial loads ...

Large‐Scale Genomic SNP Dataset for Central and Southeast European Turkey Oak (Quercus cerris L.) Populations Generated by ddRAD‐Seq Method

open access: yesJournal of Biogeography, Volume 52, Issue 10, October 2025.
ABSTRACT Background In Central and Southeast Europe, oak‐dominated forests form the backbone of temperate forest ecosystems. Therefore, their adaptability is crucial for maintaining the biodiversity of these ecosystems under ongoing climate change. Turkey oak (Quercus cerris L.) is a widespread species in these regions and holds significant potential ...

Effect of Connective Tissue Grafts in the Regenerative Treatment of Intrabony Defects: A Systematic Review and Meta‐Regression Analysis

open access: yesJournal of Periodontal Research, Volume 60, Issue 9, Page 858-871, September 2025.
Incorporating a connective tissue graft (CTG) for the periodontal regenerative treatment (PRT) of intrabony defects appears beneficial in reducing postoperative gingival recession (GR) and might further enhance regenerative outcomes compared to PRT without CTG.

Current Advancement and Patient Outcomes in Reperfusion Brain Injuries After Stroke: A Comparative Analysis of Thrombolysis and Thrombectomy

open access: yesBrain and Behavior, Volume 15, Issue 8, August 2025.
The graphical abstract illustrates how stroke‐induced reperfusion mitigates the brain injury and induces progressive brain damage. Early therapeutic or surgical intervention can be very beneficial to reduce stroke‐reperfusion‐induced brain damage. ABSTRACT Background Stroke remains a leading cause of death and disability worldwide, with ischemic stroke

Changes in community composition and functional diversity of European bats under climate change

open access: yesConservation Biology, Volume 39, Issue 4, August 2025.
Abstract Climate change is predicted to drive geographical range shifts that will result in changes in species diversity and functional composition and have potential repercussions for ecosystem functioning. However, the effect of these changes on species composition and functional diversity (FD) remains unclear, especially for mammals, specifically ...

Photophysical Properties of Substituted Zinc Phthalocyanine‐Dextran Systems

open access: yesChemPhotoChem, Volume 9, Issue 7, July 2025.
The self‐assembled ZnPc(COOH)4/DX and ZnPc(COOH)8/DX systems in DMSO/H2O solution show strong absorption in the 400–700 nm wavelength region for anticancer therapy. The ZnPc(COOH)4 exhibits efficient phosphorescence at room temperature, with a quantum efficiency of 14.8% compared to 3.81 % for the conjugated ZnPc(COOH)4/DX system, while the longhest ...

The effects of climate on bat morphology across space and time

open access: yesEcography, Volume 2025, Issue 7, July 2025.
According to Bergmann's and Allen's rules, climate change may drive morphological shifts in species, affecting body size and appendage length. These rules predict that species in colder climates tend to be larger and have shorter appendages to improve thermoregulation. Bats are thought to be sensitive to climate and are therefore expected to respond to

Biological and Computational Study of the Dual Antimicrobial and Anticancer Potential of 3,4‐Dihydropyrimidin‐2(1H)‐ones and Thiones

open access: yesChemistrySelect, Volume 10, Issue 26, July 11, 2025.
Sixteen 3,4‐dihydropyrimidin‐2(1H)‐ones and ‐thiones were synthesized and evaluated for antimicrobial activity against both resistant and nonresistant bacterial strains, as well as for fungal species. Two compounds 16 and 25 inhibiting biofilm formation by 70.22%, and 54.67%, respectively. 20 and 24 were the most potent as antibacterial and antifungal.
