Functional Connectivity During Social Reward Processing in Autistic and Neurotypical Adolescents

open access: yesBrain and Behavior, Volume 16, Issue 5, May 2026.
Heightened task‐evoked functional connectivity was observed in autistic youth between the amygdala and the posterior superior temporal sulcus (pSTS), core regions of the social reward circuitry, on receipt of a social‐interactive reward. The strength of connectivity was negatively correlated with enjoyment of social interaction.

Curcumin Nanoformulations for Dermatological Applications: From Nutraceuticals to Nanocarriers

open access: yesFood Frontiers, Volume 7, Issue 3, May 2026.
Nanotechnology‐based delivery platforms enhance the cutaneous administration of curcumin. Loading free curcumin into polymeric micelles, metal‐based nanoparticles, nanogels/hydrogels, liposomes, polymeric nanoparticles, or nanoemulsions/nanocrystals helps address its low solubility, poor stability and limited skin permeation. As a result, these systems

A Simplified Risk Assessment Tool to Predict Post Deceased Donor Liver Transplantation Outcomes: A Single, Highly Experienced Medical Center in Taiwan

open access: yesThe Kaohsiung Journal of Medical Sciences, Volume 42, Issue 5, May 2026.
ABSTRACT Liver transplantation (LT) is the standard treatment for end‐stage liver disease, yet the gap between the demand for organs and their availability is widening. In Taiwan, the scarcity of deceased donor organs highlights the need for optimized utilization strategies.

A Perspective of Multi‐Reflecting TOF MS

open access: yesMass Spectrometry Reviews, Volume 45, Issue 3, Page 476-506, May/June 2026.
ABSTRACT Time‐of‐flight mass spectrometry (TOF MS) excels in rapid and high‐sensitivity analysis, making it a cornerstone of analytical chemistry. But as sample complexity explodes in omics studies, so does the need for higher resolving power to ensure accurate results.
