Preparation and Spectroscopic Characterization of Iron(III) Complexes of a Functionalized Crown Ether

open access: yesمجلة علوم ذي قار, 2019
This research includes the synthesis and characterization of Shiff's bases crown ethers prepared from condensation between cis-diaminodibenzo-18-crown-6 and benzaldehyde substituted with some groups such as; 4-H , 4-CH2(CH2)6CH 3 , 4-Cl , 4-Br and 4-NO2

Lanthanide Compounds with SCHIFF Bases and with Copper(II) SCHIFF Base Complexes as Ligands

Zeitschrift für anorganische und allgemeine Chemie, 1975
AbstractLanthanide adducts with N,N′‐bis(salicylidene)‐1,3‐propylendiamine and N,N′‐bis(salicylidene)‐1,3‐propylendiamine‐2‐olo have been prepared. It is noted that the molecules, and not anions, of the SCHIFF bases are coordinated with the metal ion.Bi‐ and trinuclear lanthanide complexes with the “complex ligand”, N,N′‐1,3‐propylen‐bis ...

Polymerization of cyclic SCHIFF's bases

Die Makromolekulare Chemie, 1970
AbstractPolymerization of various cyclic SCHIFF's bases by cationic catalysts was attempted. It was found that a five membered cyclic SCHIFF's base such as 5.5‐dimethylpyrroline‐Δ1 gives a powdery product having a molecular weight of about 1,000 while six membered ones cannot be polymerized at all. Although the structure of the polymer obtained is much

Tetradentate SCHIFF Base Complexes of Lead(IV)

Zeitschrift für anorganische und allgemeine Chemie, 1971
Abstract1:1‐complexes of lead(IV) with these tetradentate SCHIFF bases have been prepared in the pure form. These are non‐ electrolytes in DMF, and hence can be considered to have octahedral configuration. The IR spectra of the complexes show no pattern for H‐bonded OH. The phenolic CO stretch shows a shift towards longer wavelengths.

Polyaddition reactions of SCHIFF's bases and diisocyanates

Die Makromolekulare Chemie, 1970
AbstractNew polymers were obtained by polyaddition reactions of various SCHIFF's bases and diisocyanates. The structure of the polymers obtained was investigated by model reactions and thermal analysis. The results show that there are several reaction modes in these polyaddition reactions and the polymers hardly have the simple and regular structure.

Studies of the Metal Chelates of some SCHIFF Bases derived from ethanolamine

Journal für Praktische Chemie, 1973
AbstractThe SCHIFF bases, 4‐(2‐hydroxy‐ethylimino) pentane‐2‐one (abbr. HEA) und 1‐[N‐(2′‐hydroxyethyl)iminomethyl]‐2‐naphthol (abbr. HNA) form solid complexes with Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II), Zn(II), Pd(II), Cd(II) and UO2(II). The elemental analyses, molecular weight, magnetic moment values and electronic spectral data have been used to establish the ...

Condensation of Unsaturated SCHIFF Bases with ethyl acetoacetate, diethyl malonate and acetylacetone

Journal für Praktische Chemie, 1972
Abstract1, 4‐Dihydropyridine derivatives have been obtained by MICHAEL condensation with cinnamylidene anilines 1 or N‐p‐tolyl‐chalcone imine 5. With ethyl acetoacetate 1 and 5 yield 1‐aryl‐2‐methyl‐3‐ethoxycarbonyl‐4‐phenyl‐1, 4‐dihydropyridines 2 and 6, with diethyl malonate 1‐aryl‐3‐ethoxycarbonyl‐2‐oxo‐4‐phenyl‐1, 2, 3, 4‐tetrahydropyridines 7 and ...

Conjugated polymeric SCHIFF'S bases. Thermally stable polymers with low electrical resistivity

Die Makromolekulare Chemie, 1962
AbstractPolymeric SCHIFF's bases have been obtained by the condensation of conjugated dialdehydes, such as glyoxal and terephthalaldehyde, with conjugated diamines such as phenylenediamine or diamino phenol. Low molecular weight coloured polymers are obtained from aqueous systems, while high molecular weight black polymers are obtained by dilute ...

Six and eight coordinate complexes of tin(IV) with some aromatic SCHIFF bases

Zeitschrift für anorganische und allgemeine Chemie, 1972
AbstractA few complexes of tin(IV) chloride with some Schiff bases have been prepared in benzene medium. The complexes are orange red in colour and amorphous. The elemental analysis shows that these are 1:1 or 1:2 adducts. They are nonelectrolytes in DMF.

Some novel nanostructure Schiff base compounds: Antimicrobial and thermal behaviors

Journal of Physical Organic Chemistry, 2018
AbstractIn this paper, five new zinc‐Schiff base compounds formulated as ZnLX2 (L is a new N3‐Schiff base ligand obtained by condensation reaction between diethylenetriamine and (Z)‐3‐(4‐(dimethylamino)phenyl) acrylaldehyde and X is (Cl−, Br−, I−, N3−, and NCS−)) were synthesized and characterized by Fourier transform infrared, 1H and 13C NMR, UV ...
