Teacher-child interactions in Chile and their associations with prekindergarten outcomes.

open access: yesChild Development, 2015
Quality of teacher-child interactions is central to prekindergarten children's learning. In the United States, the quality of teacher-child interactions is commonly assessed using the teaching through interactions conceptual framework and an associ/ated ...

Genomic and Cis‐Regulatory Basis of a Plastic C3‐C4 Photosynthesis in Eleocharis Baldwinii

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The sedge Eleocharis baldwinii remarkably switches between C3‐like and C4‐like photosynthesis in response to environmental conditions. Combining gap‐free genome assembly with single‐cell multi‐omics, this study uncovers how subgenome dominance and cell‐specific cis‐regulation enable C4 photosynthesis.

Prevalence of OSA in chilean children and adolescents based on subscale of pediatric sleep questionnaire.

open access: yesJournal of Oral Research, 2019
Objectives: We aimed to determine the prevalence of Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA) in children and adolescents from four districts of Santiago, Chile by using a six-question subscale from the Sleep-Related Breathing Disorders (SRBD) scale, which measures ...

SSRP1/SLC3A2 Axis in Arginine Transport: A New Target for Overcoming Immune Evasion and Tumor Progression in Peripheral T‐Cell Lymphoma

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Enhanced arginine uptake is a critical feature of metabolic reprogramming in PTCL, characterized by elevated expression of the arginine transporter SLC3A2. SLC3A2‐mediated arginine uptake facilitates PTCL proliferation and survival by enhancing OXPHOS metabolism and inducing immune evasion.

Satisfying states of triangulations of a convex n-gon [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2009
In this work we count the number of satisfying states of triangulations of a convex n-gon using the transfer matrix method. We show an exponential (in n) lower bound. We also give the exact formula for the number of satisfying states of a strip of triangles.

Targeting PTBP3‐Mediated Alternative Splicing of COX11 Induces Cuproptosis for Inhibiting Gastric Cancer Peritoneal Metastasis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The splicing factor PTBP3 promotes COX11 exon skipping, allowing gastric cancer organoids to evade cuproptosis. Antisense oligonucleotide drugs targeting PTBP3‐mediated COX11 alternative splicing, in combination with copper ionophores, promote cuproptosis in organoids, thereby providing a therapeutic approach for gastric cancer peritoneal metastasis ...

Nanoneedle‐Based Electroporation for Efficient Manufacturing of Human Primary Chimeric Antigen Receptor Regulatory T‐Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Low reproducibility and inefficient gene transfer hamper clinical manufacturing of chimeric antigen receptor regulatory T cells (CAR Tregs). Nanoneedle mediated electroporation generates primary human CAR Tregs under good manufacturing practice conditions with superior efficiency compared to viral transduction.

Chromosome‐Level Genome Assembly of the Leafcutter Bee Megachile rotundata Reveals Its Ecological Adaptation and Pollination Biology

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The genome of Megachile rotundata, an extensively managed solitary pollination bee species, has been sequenced, covering 280.68 Mb and predicting 10 701 genes. The study reveals significant expansions of the Toll gene family and their abundant expression in diapause prepupae, highlighting enhanced immune responses during diapause. This genome serves as

GDL today: Reaching a viable alternative to IDL [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2019
We report at the ADASS XXVII session the progresses made by GDL, the free clone of the proprietary IDL software. We argue that GDL can replace IDL for everyday use.
