Sustainability Performance, National Culture, and Corporate Financial Performance

open access: yesCorporate Social Responsibility and Environmental Management, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Given the increasing global importance of sustainability performance and reporting, along with prior mixed results in the literature, we examine the impact of country‐specific attributes on sustainability reporting. Specifically, we examine the impact of national culture and legal origin on sustainability performance and how national culture ...

Upcycling of Waste Poly(ethylene terephthalate) : Ammonolysis Kinetics of Model Bis(2‐hydroxyethyl terephthalate) and Particle Size Effects in Polymeric Substrates

open access: yesChemSusChem, Accepted Article.
Upcycling of poly(ethylene terephthalate) (PET) through ammonolysis is pursued. Model studies on bis(2‐hydroxyethyl) terephthalate (BHET) reacting with ammonia in excess ethylene glycol (EG) to form terephthalamide (TPD) are presented. Sequential ester conversion is characterized by the pseudo reaction rate constants of = 1.02±0.09 h‐1 and = 0.44±0.08 ...

Seismic performance of concrete tunnel–sand–pile interaction by the shake table test

open access: yesDeep Underground Science and Engineering, EarlyView.
This research presents the square root sum of squares response of displacements and tunnel moments under the Kobe and Loma Prieta seismic excitations with a peak ground acceleration of 0.05 g for various dry relative densities of local sand in Bangladesh.

Strain‐based modeling and analysis for rock blasting and geomechanics applications

open access: yesDeep Underground Science and Engineering, EarlyView.
This paper introduces a novel strain‐based modeling approach for blasting and geomechanical applications, using measurable variables like particle velocity, strain, and displacement. By bypassing complex constitutive relations, strain‐based models capture critical blasting trends and full‐blast design parameters with minimal calibration.
