Zinc Exposure Causes Disulfidptosis to Induce Miscarriage by Up‐Regulating GATA1/METTL1/SLC7A11 Axis
Zn exposure up‐regulates GATA1, promoting GATA1‐mediated METTL1 and SLC7A11 transcription. It also enhances METTL1‐mediated m7G modification on SLC7A11 mRNA, increasing SLC7A11 mRNA stability. Ultimately, Zn exposure up‐regulates SLC7A11 at both transcriptional and post‐transcriptional levels, causing disulfidptosis. Knockdown of murine Slc7a11, Gata1,

ABSTRACT Accumulating evidence suggests that the intestinal microbiota participates in the progression of metabolic dysfunction‐associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD) through microbiota‐host interaction. However, the beneficial role of commensal mycobiota in MASLD progression remains poorly understood.

Climate variability and forest fires in central and south‐central Chile
AbstractThis paper evaluates the relationship between fire occurrence (number and burned area) and climate variability (precipitation and maximum temperatures) across central and south‐central Chile (32°–43° S) during recent decades (1976–2013). This region sustains the largest proportion of the Chilean population, contains ecologically important ...

A genome‐wide microRNA CRISPR screen identifies miR‐18a as a master regulator of cross‐resistance in melanoma. Loss of miR‐18a activates the AJUBA–YAP/Hippo axis to confer BRAFi resistance and enhances THBS1–CD47 interaction to impair CD8+ T cell immunity. hnRNP A1 is identified as an upstream regulator of miR‐18a processing.

Credibility and Inflation Targeting in Chile [PDF]
In this paper we present new evidence on the recent changes of the inflationary dynamics for the Chilean economy. We show that price rigidity has increased while the degree indexation based on past inflation has decreased over time. We also show that the

Hyperdroughts in central Chile: Drivers, Impacts and Projections
Abstract. Owing to the Mediterranean-like and highly variable climate of western South America, moderate droughts (20–30 % precipitation deficit) recur every 3–5 years in central Chile, alternating with wet years. Since 2010, however, this region has experienced a continuous dry spell, including extremely dry conditions in 2019 and 2021, when annual ...

Wave energy assessment in the central-south coast of Chile
Abstract This paper presents an assessment of the wave energy resource in nearshore waters along the central coast of Chile (Lat.:32.5° S to 42.5° S). The assessment is built upon the combined use of hindcast and measured data collected specifically for this goal.
