Biochemical mechanisms of chilling tolerance in maize
In this research project, certain key biochemical parameters that impart chilling tolerance have been compared between a chilling-susceptible (CO 316) and a chilling-tolerant (CO 328) maize inbred.

A gas‐fed, zero‐gap, PEM CO2 electrolyzer is realized by incorporating PDDA+ ions onto the carbonaceous Co/N‐C electrocatalyst, with gaseous H2 and CO2 fed into the anode and cathode, respectively. Operating without an aqueous electrolyte, the system sustains a peak FECO of 65.1% at 100 mA cm−2. ABSTRACT Electrochemical carbon dioxide reduction (ECO2R)

Overexpression of transcription factor SlNAC35 enhances the chilling tolerance of transgenic tomato
The NAC (NAM, ATAF1/2, and CUC2) transcription factor family participates in responses to various kinds of environmental stimuli in plants. However, the roles of NAC protein in cold resistance, especially in the cold resistance of tomatoes, are not ...

Architecture‐Driven Functional Coupling in Vertically Aligned Nanocomposites
Vertically aligned nanocomposites define a growth‐engineered architecture in which vertical interfaces, strain fields, defect pathways, and phase connectivity are created simultaneously. This review shows how these architectural features couple ferroic, optical, ionic, electrochemical, and device responses, establishing design rules and open challenges

Variation of photosynthetic tolerance of rice cultivars (Oryza sativaL.) to chilling temperature in the light [PDF]
Forty-two genotypes from the rice germplasm (Oryza sativa L.) were identified under chilling temperature in the light at bud, seedling and booting stages and divided into three basic types; cultivars tolerant to chilling in the light such as japonica ...

In Situ Magnetic Ordering and Microfabrication of Liquid Crystal Networks with Discretized Alignment
Miniaturizing liquid crystal network actuators typically demands costly laser writing or digital light processing. A low‐cost photolithography platform couples rotating photomasks with a Halbach magnetic array to discretize in‐plane molecular alignment down to 50 µm, producing programmable, light‐responsive grippers, checkerboards, and origami‐inspired

Biochemical studies on plant glycerol-3- phosphate acyltransferase [PDF]
sn-Glycerol-3-phosphate acyltransferase [G3PAT, PlsB (E.coli), EC 2.3.1.15] is an enzyme involved in glycerolipid biosynthesis, catalysing the acylation of glycerol-3-phosphate (G3P) to produce lysophosphatidic acid (LPA). Chilling tolerance in plants is
