Real‐Time Wireless Detection of Heavy Metal Ions Using a Self‐Powered Triboelectric Nanosensor Integrated with an Autonomous Thermoelectric Generator‐Powered Robotic System

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study introduces a self‐powered environmental monitoring system that integrates a triboelectric nanosensor (TENS) with a robotic hand, controlled remotely by an exo‐hand and powered by a thermoelectric generator (TEG). The fully autonomous system detects Pb2⁺, Cr⁶⁺, and As3⁺ ions in real‐time and operates without external power, ideal for remote ...

Sustainability‐Inspired Upcycling of Organophosphorus Pollutants into Phosphatic Fertilizer in a Continuous‐Flow Reactor

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
First report of organophosphorus pollutants selective degradation, via the synergistic effect of peroxymonosulfate and sodium percarbonate, into phosphates that are continually converted into phosphatic fertilizer by struvite precipitation on a continuous‐flow reactor. Abstract With the increasing requirement for phosphorus resources and their shortage

Commensurability and Difference

open access: yesAsian Studies, 2023
In this explorative paper, I propose that relatively recent trends in Western continental philosophy can provide a much more commensurate access to Chinese philosophy than found in most mainstream Western philosophy. More specifically, I argue that three

Pupylation‐Based Proximity Labeling Unravels a Comprehensive Protein and Phosphoprotein Interactome of the Arabidopsis TOR Complex

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The target of rapamycin (TOR) complex is a central plant growth regulator. Here, the protein–protein interactions underlying its various functions are mapped by pupylation‐based proximity‐labeling in Arabidopsis, using TOR complex subunits LST8‐1 and RAPTOR1, alongside TOR inhibitor FK506‐binding protein, as baits.

Can there be a Chinese Philosophy? -- a Review of Searle's Philosophy and Chinese Philosophy--Bo Mou Ed 440p (2008)(review revised 2019) [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
This book is invaluable as a synopsis of some of the work of one the greatest philosophers of recent times. There is much value in analyzing his responses to the basic confusions of philosophy, and in the generally excellent attempts to connect classical

Lattice‐Distortion‐Driven Reduced Lattice Thermal Conductivity in High‐Entropy Ceramics

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Long‐believed potential mechanisms of lattice distortion and mass fluctuation for the reduced lattice thermal conductivity are explored by designing two groups of high‐entropy diborides based on machine‐learning‐potential‐based molecular dynamics simulations.

A Transit of Venus Possibly Misinterpreted as an Unaided-Eye Sunspot Observation in China on 9 December 1874 [PDF]

open access: yesSolar Physics, 2019, 2019
Large sunspots can be observed with the unaided eye under suitable atmospheric seeing conditions. Such observations are of particular value because the frequency of their appearance provides an approximate indication of the prevailing level of solar activity.

Buddhism and Metaphysics: A Comparison of Chinese and Western Philosophy [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
Under the influence of Western philosophy, there arose the question of whether Buddhism can be considered a philosophy. In trying to address a similar problem in the field of Chinese philosophy, some scholars have turned the comparison of the texts of ...
