MIMO based chipless RFID system
2012 IEEE International Conference on RFID-Technologies and Applications (RFID-TA), 2012Chipless RFID systems are perhaps the most eligible candidate for catering the demand of low-cost multiple item tagging in future. However, the absence of a microchip in chipless tags limits the processing capabilities hence the RFID reader has to improvise most of the processing.

One key element of a chipless RFID system is the tag. Since it is chipless, it acts both as the scatterer and encoder. As the scatterer, it needs to reradiate the incident field as much as possible in order to maximize signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) in the reader. As the encoder, it needs to encode a high density of data on the backscattered signal. There

SoilTAG: Fine-Grained Soil Moisture Sensing Through Chipless Tags
IEEE Transactions on Mobile ComputingSoil moisture sensing plays an important role in agriculture, especially in greenhouses or vertical farms. However, existing soil moisture sensing systems are either expensive and require batteries or suffer from low accuracy, preventing their real-world

2018 48th European Microwave Conference (EuMC), 2018
In this paper a compact wearable chipless tag is presented. The proposed tag is based on a frequency signature achieved by using a microstrip line loaded by compact resonators slotted in the ground plane. Textile materials have been used for both the substrate and the conductive parts.

Chipless RFID Tag Localization
IEEE Transactions on Microwave Theory and Techniques, 2013A novel localization technique for frequency-domain chipless RF identification (RFID) tag is proposed. A short-duration ultra-wideband impulse radio signal interrogates the tags, and multiple receivers in the interrogation zone capture the backscattered signal from the tags.

Class of Platform-Tolerant High Encoding Capacity Chipless RFID Tags for EAN/GTIN Encoding
IEEE Internet of Things JournalIn this article, we investigate a class of novel platform-tolerant chipless RFID tags composed of an array of variable-length notched microstrip line resonators backed by a metallic backscatterer.
