In this paper, a hybrid coding method for chipless radio‐frequency identification (RFID) tag with angular orientation is proposed. Frequency‐shift coding is achieved by controlling the size of three complementary split single ring resonators (CSSRR). And on the basis, we add a dimension of polarisation coding, which is achieved through changes in the ...

Degradable and Printed Microstrip Line for Chipless Temperature and Humidity Sensing
This study presents a biodegradable printed microstrip line with multi‐resonance for temperature and relative humidity monitoring. Zinc printed on paper encapsulated with beeswax serves as the radio‐frequency transducer. Two resonators at 1.2 and 2 GHz are used to sense temperature and humidity, respectively.

Meandered-slot antennas for sensor-RFID tags [PDF]
This letter introduces a planar antenna layout suited to Sensor-RFID fabrication. The geometry is based on a meandered-slot profile on a suspended patch and permits to host sensors and electronics in a small space.

Reader antennas requirements in chipless RFID systems with linear and circular polarization [PDF]
Two efficient reading approaches for chipless RFID are compared. The first approach uses a linear polarization interrogation with depolarizing tags able to reflect an electromagnetic signal with orthogonal polarization state with respect to the impinging

Numerical Study of Chipless Tags for Radio-Frequency-Identification (RFID) Applications
We present a numerical investigation of effective chipless tags for radio-frequency-identification (RFID) applications. Chipless tags have been introduced recently as alternatives to standard tags with microchips.

A novel chipless RFID system based on planar multiresonators for barcode replacement [PDF]
RFID is taking the world by storm but lowering the price of the tag is a necessity in order to completely replace barcode systems with RFID systems. Researchers around the world have been working on chipless RFID systems. In this paper we present a novel
