The chiral magnetic effect in hydrodynamical approach [PDF]

open access: yesPhys.Lett.B697:404-406,2011, 2010
In quark-gluon plasma nonzero chirality can be induced by the chiral anomaly. When a magnetic field is applied to a system with nonzero chirality an electromagnetic current is induced along the magnetic field. This phenomenon is called the chiral magnetic effect.

Single Pair of Weyl Points Evolve From Spin Group‐Protected Nodal Line in Half‐Metallic Ferromagnet V3S4

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A spin group (SG)‐based mechanism is proposed to realize a single pair of Weyl points. PT‐symmetric nodal lines (NLs) persist under T‐breaking, protected by the combination of SG and P symmetry. When considering spin‐orbit coupling, the SG‐protected NL will split into Weyl points, which will also induce anomalous transport phenomena arising from ...

Universality between vector-like and chiral quiver gauge theories: anomalies and domain walls

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2020
We study low-energy dynamics of [SU(N )] K chiral quiver gauge theories in connection with N $$ \mathcal{N} $$ = 1 super Yang-Mills (SYM) theory, and quantum chromodynamics with bi-fundamental fermions (QCD(BF)).

Chiral Fermions and Anomalies on a Finite Lattice

open access: yes, 1992
A recent proposal by Kaplan for a chiral gauge theory on the lattice is tested with background gauge fields. The spectrum of the finite lattice Hamiltonian is calculated and the existence of a chiral fermion is demonstrated. Lattice doublers are found to

Invariant Regularization of Supersymmetric Chiral Gauge Theory [PDF]

open access: yes, 1999
We present a regularization scheme which respects the supersymmetry and the maximal background gauge covariance in supersymmetric chiral gauge theories.

The local RG equation and chiral anomalies [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
We generalize the local renormalization group (RG) equation to theories with chiral anomalies. We find that a new anomaly is required by the Wess-Zumino consistency conditions. Taking into account the new anomaly, the trace of the energy momentum tensor is expressed in terms of the covariant flavor currents, instead of the consistent ones.

Van Der Waals Hybrid Integration of 2D Semimetals for Broadband Photodetection

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Advanced broadband photodetector technologies are essential for military and civilian applications. 2D semimetals, with their gapless band structures, high mobility, and topological protection, offer great promise for broadband PDs. This study reviews the latest advancements in broadband PDs utilizing heterostructures that combine 2D semimetals with ...

Thermal and gravitational chiral anomaly induced magneto-transport in Weyl semimetals

open access: yesPhysical Review Research, 2020
Quantum anomalies in Weyl semimetal (for either E·B≠0 or ∇T·B≠0) leads to chiral charge and energy pumping between the opposite chirality nodes. This results in chiral charge and energy imbalance between the Weyl nodes which manifests in several ...

The γπ → ππ anomaly from lattice QCD and dispersion relations

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2021
We propose a formalism to extract the γπ → ππ chiral anomaly F 3π from calculations in lattice QCD performed at larger-than-physical pion masses. To this end, we start from a dispersive representation of the γ (*) π → ππ amplitude, whose main quark-mass ...
