Heavy holographic QCD

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2020
We study the phase structure of the Witten-Sakai-Sugimoto model in the plane of temperature and baryon chemical potential, including the effect of a nonzero current quark mass.

Topological phase transitions and Weyl semimetal phases in chiral photonic metamaterials

open access: yesNew Journal of Physics, 2022
Recently, topologically nontrivial phases in chiral metamaterials have been proposed. However, a comprehensive description of topological phase diagrams and transitions in chiral metamaterials has not been presented.

N f =2 QCD chiral phase transition with Wilson fermions at zero and imaginary chemical potential [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
The order of the thermal phase transition in the chiral limit of Quantum Chromodynamics (QCD) with two dynamical flavors of quarks is a long-standing issue and still not known in the continuum limit.

Reconfigurable Three‐Dimensional Superconducting Nanoarchitectures

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
3D superconducting nanostructures offer new possibilities for emergent physical phenomena. However, fabricating complex geometries remains challenging. Here 3D nanoprinting of complex 3D superconducting nanoarchitectures is established. As well as propagating superconducting vortices in 3D, anisotropic superconducting properties with geometric ...

Presence of a chiral soliton lattice in the chiral helimagnet MnTa3S6

open access: yesAPL Materials, 2023
Chiral helimagnetism was investigated in transition-metal intercalated dichalcogenide single crystals of MnTa3S6. Small-angle neutron scattering (SANS) experiments revealed the presence of harmonic chiral helimagnetic order, which was successfully ...

Low‐Symmetry Weyl Semimetals: A Path to Ideal Topological States

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study presents a theoretical framework for realizing ideal Weyl semimetals, where Weyl nodes are well‐isolated at the Fermi level. The approach is exemplified in the low‐symmetry material Cu2SnSe3, which exhibits tunable topological phases, current‐induced orbital magnetization, and a strong circular photogalvanic effect, making it a promising ...

Dark chiral phase transition driven by chemical potential and its gravitational wave test

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics
In this article, for the first time, we explore the scenario that the dark-QCD sector has a large chemical potential μ (on the order of magnitude of temperature) of dark quarks. It leads to a complex-valued Polyakov loop and tilts the partial confinement

Dense nucleonic matter and the renormalization group

open access: yesEPJ Web of Conferences, 2014
Fluctuations are included in a chiral nucleon-meson model within the framework of the functional renormalization group. The model, with parameters fitted to reproduce the nuclear liquid-gas phase transition, is used to study the phase diagram of QCD.

Anomaly matching in QCD thermal phase transition

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2019
We study an ’t Hooft anomaly of massless QCD at finite temperature. With the imaginary baryon chemical potential at the Roberge-Weiss point, there is a ℤ2 symmetry which can be used to define confinement.
