Order of the Chiral Phase Transition in the σ Models

open access: yesMomento, 2005
The chiral phase transition at a certain critical temperature is a restoration mechanism of the chiral symmetry, broken by the nonzero mass of quarks and mesons. The transition can be studied through several models, among which are the σ models.

Classical and quantum chiral order in frustrated XY magnets [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2002
Recent studies on the chiral order of regularly frustrated XY magnets are reviewed both in classical and quantum cases. In the classical case, chiral transition is a thermal one, while in the quantum case, it is a quantum phase transition. Importance of spatial dimensionality on the chiral order is clarified.

Entropy production and reheating at the chiral phase transition

open access: yesPhysics Letters B, 2019
We study the production of entropy in the context of a nonequilibrium chiral phase transition. The dynamical symmetry breaking is modeled by a Langevin equation for the order parameter coupled to the Bjorken dynamics of a quark plasma. We investigate the

Chirality-enabled topological phase transitions in parity-time symmetric systems

open access: yesNew Journal of Physics
Photonic spin Hall effect (PSHE) in chiral PT-symmetric systems exhibits many exotic features, but the underlying physical mechanism has not been well elucidated.

Tensor Condensate Accompanied by Chiral Transition in a Strong Magnetic Field

open access: yesAdvances in High Energy Physics
We investigate tensor condensates and chiral condensates in the (2+1)-flavor Nambu–Jona–Lasinio model at finite temperature and density in the presence of a strong magnetic field.

Topological boundary modes in nonlinear dynamics with chiral symmetry

open access: yesNew Journal of Physics
Particle-hole symmetry and chiral symmetry play a pivotal role in multiple areas of physics, yet they remain unstudied in systems with nonlinear interactions whose nonlinear normal modes do not exhibit $\textbf{U}(1)$ -gauge symmetry.

Effects of tensor spin polarization on the chiral restoration and deconfinement phase transitions [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review D 109, 096033 (2024)
Effects of tensor spin polarization (TSP) on the chiral restoration and deconfinement phase transitions are studied in Polyakov loop extended Nambu-Jona-Lasinio (PNJL) model. For chiral phase transition, the higher the polarized degree of quark-antiquark pairs under the strong magnetic field, the higher the phase transition temperature.

Can axial U(1) anomaly disappear at high temperature?

open access: yesEPJ Web of Conferences, 2018
In our recent study of two-flavor lattice QCD using chiral fermions, we find strong suppression of axial U(1) anomaly above the critical temperature of chiral phase transition.
