The Chiral Phase Transition [PDF]

open access: yesNucl.Phys. A610 (1996) 13c-25c, 1996
I review the current understanding of the chiral phase transition in QCD, with particular emphasis on recent results obtained in the instanton liquid model.

Chiral Magnetic Effect and Chiral Phase Transition [PDF]

open access: yesCommunications in Theoretical Physics, 2010
We study the influence of the chiral phase transition on the chiral magnetic effect. The azimuthal charge-particle correlations as functions of the temperature are calculated. It is found that there is a pronounced cusp in the correlations as the temperature reaches its critical value for the QCD phase transition.

Proximal chiral phase transition [PDF]

open access: greenPhysical Review D, 1994
We consider the form of the chiral-symmetry-breaking piece of the effective potential in the linear \ensuremath{\sigma} model. Surprisingly, it allows for a second local minimum at both zero and finite temperatures. Even though chiral symmetry is not exact, and therefore is not restored in a true phase transition at finite temperature, this second ...

Interplay between chiral and deconfinement phase transitions [PDF]

open access: yesEPJ Web of Conferences, 2011
By using the dressed Polyakov loop or dual chiral condensate as an equivalent order parameter of the deconfinement phase transition, we investigate the relation between the chiral and deconfinement phase transitions at finite temperature and density in ...

QCD phase transition in the chiral limit [PDF]

open access: yesNIC Series volume 50, page 193 (2020); ISBN : 978-3-95806-443-0, 2020
We present a lattice QCD based determination of the chiral phase transition temperature in QCD with two massless (up and down) and one strange quark having its physical mass. We propose and calculate two novel estimators for the chiral transition temperature for several values of the light quark masses, corresponding to Goldstone pion masses in the ...

Screening masses close to the chiral phase transition [PDF]

open access: greenNuclear Physics B - Proceedings Supplements, 1994
Evidence indicating that quarks are not confined inside mesons above the chiral transition is presented.

Chiral phase transition in dissipative dynamics [PDF]

open access: greenPhysical Review D, 2002
Numerical simulations of the chiral phase transition in the (3+1)dimensional O(4)-model are presented. The evolutions of the chiral field follow purely dissipative dynamics, starting from random chirally symmetric initial configurations down to the true vacuum with spontaneously broken symmetry.

Chiral phase transitions of helical matter [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review D, 2021
We study the thermodynamics of helical matter, namely quark matter in which a net helicity, $n_H$, is in equilibrium. Interactions are modeled by the renormalized quark-meson model with two flavors of quarks. Helical density is described within the grand-canonical ensemble formalism via a chemical potential, $ _H$.

Chiral phase transition and equation of state in chiral imbalance * [PDF]

open access: yesChinese Physics C, 2021
Abstract The chiral phase transition and equation of state are studied within a novel self-consistent mean-field approximation of the two-flavor Nambu-Jona-Lasinio model. In this newly developed model, modifications to the chemical μ and chiral chemical potentials are ...

Dynamics of the Chiral Phase Transition [PDF]

open access: yesActa Physica Polonica B Proceedings Supplement, 2014
The intention of this study is the search for signatures of the chiral phase transition in heavy-ion collisions. To investigate the impact of fluctuations, e.g., of the baryon number, at the transition or at a critical point, the linear sigma model is treated in a dynamical (3+1)-dimensional numerical simulation.
