Latent heat in the chiral phase transition [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review D, 2003
The chiral phase transition at finite temperature and density is discussed in the framework of the QCD-like gauge field theory. The thermodynamical potential is investigated using a variational approach. Latent heat generated in the first-order phase transition is calculated.

Chiral phase transition with 2+1 quark flavors in an improved soft-wall AdS/QCD model [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review D, 2018
We study the chiral phase transition with $2+1$ quark flavors in an improved soft-wall AdS/QCD model, which can produce the light meson spectrum and many other low-energy quantities consistent with experiments in the two-flavor case.

Chiral Phase Transitions

open access: yes, 2001
We show that melting the quark mass, the scalar $ $ mass and the quark condensate leads uniquely to the quark-level SU(2) linear $ $ model field theory. Upon thermalization, the chiral phase transition curve requires $T_c =2f^{CL}_ \approx 180 MeV$ when $ = 0$, while the critical chemical potential is $ _c =m_q\approx 325 MeV$.

Can hadrons survive the chiral phase transition? [PDF]

open access: yesPhysics Letters B, 1995
We study mesonic and baryonic correlation functions in the temporal directions in the vicinity of the critical temperature $T\simeq T_c$ using the instanton liquid model. In this model chiral symmetry restoration is driven by the formation of instanton-antiinstanton molecules.

Chiral symmetry restoration and the critical end point in QCD

open access: yesOpen Physics, 2017
In a system of quark matter we study the chiral phase transition, the behavior of the chiral and quark number susceptibility and the CEP at finite temperature and chemical potential.

Commensurate-incommensurate transition in the chiral Ashkin-Teller model

open access: yesPhysical Review Research, 2022
We investigate the classical chiral Ashkin-Teller model on a square lattice with the corner transfer matrix renormalization group algorithm. We show that the melting of the period-4 phase in the presence of a chiral perturbation takes different forms ...

Mass sensitivity of the three-flavor chiral phase transition [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review D, 2017
The mass sensitivity of the chiral phase transition of QCD with and without axial $U_A(1)$-symmetry breaking at vanishing and finite quark chemical potential is investigated.

Critical behavior at the chiral phase transition [PDF]

open access: yesNuclear Physics B - Proceedings Supplements, 1998
Quantum chromodynamics with two zero mass flavors is expected to exhibit a phase transition with O(4) critical behavior. Fixing the universality class is important for phenomenology and for facilitating the extrapolation of simulation data to physical quark mass values.

Anomaly constraints on deconfinement and chiral phase transition [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
We study constraints on thermal phase transitions of ${\rm SU}(N_c)$ gauge theories by using the 't Hooft anomaly involving the center symmetry and chiral symmetry.

Parity Doubling and the Dense-Matter Phase Diagram under Constraints from Multi-Messenger Astronomy

open access: yesUniverse, 2019
We extend the recently developed hybrid quark−meson−nucleon model by augmenting a six-point scalar interaction and investigate the consequences for neutron-star sequences in the mass−radius diagram. One of the characteristic features of
