Latent heat in the chiral phase transition [PDF]
The chiral phase transition at finite temperature and density is discussed in the framework of the QCD-like gauge field theory. The thermodynamical potential is investigated using a variational approach. Latent heat generated in the first-order phase transition is calculated.

We study the chiral phase transition with $2+1$ quark flavors in an improved soft-wall AdS/QCD model, which can produce the light meson spectrum and many other low-energy quantities consistent with experiments in the two-flavor case.

We show that melting the quark mass, the scalar $ $ mass and the quark condensate leads uniquely to the quark-level SU(2) linear $ $ model field theory. Upon thermalization, the chiral phase transition curve requires $T_c =2f^{CL}_ \approx 180 MeV$ when $ = 0$, while the critical chemical potential is $ _c =m_q\approx 325 MeV$.

Can hadrons survive the chiral phase transition? [PDF]
We study mesonic and baryonic correlation functions in the temporal directions in the vicinity of the critical temperature $T\simeq T_c$ using the instanton liquid model. In this model chiral symmetry restoration is driven by the formation of instanton-antiinstanton molecules.
