Seed fossil record of Solanaceae revisited

Abstract The fossil record for Solanaceae has a complex taxonomic history, with many species originally described in the family being subsequently shown to belong in other plant families. In this work, we present an in‐depth analysis of the nightshade seed fossil record, which corresponds to the largest amount of fossil material for the family.

Vortex Ratchet Effect in Superconductor Open Nanotubes and 3D Nanoflakes

Magnetic flux quanta in 3D superconductor nanotubes move in the regions where the normal component of the applied magnetic field is close to maximum. Asymmetric pinning sites placed in these areas result in an enhanced vortex ratchet effect compared to planar systems.

Spatiotemporal Variability of Dendroecological Indicators in Pedunculate Oak (Quercus robur L.) Tree‐Rings Across Europe in Relation to Species Distribution Models

Our study examined how the pedunculate oak (Quercus robur) responds to climate change across Europe, utilizing tree rings from over 3300 trees. We found that oaks in drier regions are more affected by current growing‐season conditions, while those in cooler areas respond to the climate conditions of previous growing seasons.
