The Chitin-Induced Chimeric LYK4-ER Gene Improves the Heat Tolerance of Arabidopsis at the Seedling Stage

Journal of Plant Biology, 2020
Due to global warming, high temperature has become the main abiotic stress affecting plant growth worldwide. LysM-containing receptor-like kinase 4 (LYK4) is the receptor for chitin, and ERECTA(ER) is a key factor in plant tolerance to high temperature.

Gene expression analysis of a chitin-induced receptor like kinase using expression database

European Journal of BioMedical Research, 2017
Receptor-like kinases family were involved in various biological process in plant. Chitin-induced receptor like kinase 1 (CRLK1) was previously reported to play a role in resistance to fungal pathogens. In this study, CRLK1 was shown to be induced by various elicitors derived from bacteria, fungi and plant cell wall fragments. CRLK1 was also induced by

Chitin colonization, chitin degradation and chitin‐induced natural competence of Vibrio cholerae are subject to catabolite repression

Environmental Microbiology, 2012
Summary Although Vibrio cholerae is a human pathogen its primary habitat are aquatic environments. In this environment, V. cholerae takes advantage of the abundance of zooplankton, whose chitinous exoskeletons provide a nutritious ...

Chitin induces type IV collagen and elastic fiber in implanted non-woven fabric of polyester

Carbohydrate Polymers, 1996
The non-woven fabric of polyester (control) and the composite material of the non-woven fabric of polyester and chitin (Chitipack P) were implanted to bovine flexor tendon. After 3 weeks implantation, type IV collagen and elastic fibers were significantly increased and type I collagen was decreased in Chitipack P in comparison with control.
