Correlations among the reflectances of vitrinite, chitinozoans, graptolites and scolecodonts
Organic Geochemistry, 1990Abstract Paleozoic marine sequences sampled in outcrops and wells of northeastern Gaspe Peninsula (Quebec Appalachians) yield kerogen composed in part of vitrinite and zooclasts (chitinozoans, scolecodonts and graptolites) on which reflectance measurements were made.

Chitinozoan reflectance in the Lower Palaeozoic of the Welsh Basin
Terra Nova, 1992ABSTRACTVitrinite (woody matter) and spores are generally uncommon or absent in pre‐Devonian sediments. To determine organic maturity in the Lower Palaeozoic alternative methods, such as chitinozoan reflectance, must be employed. Chitinozoa are marine, vase‐shaped organic‐walled microfossils of unknown affinity.

Ordovician Chitinozoans from Florida Well Samples: ABSTRACT
AAPG Bulletin, 1969Ordovician chitinozoans recovered from a grayish-black shale are described for the first time for subsurface north-central Florida. The lowest sample of the Sun Oil Company, Earl Odom No. 1 well, Suwannee County, Florida, is dated between late Arenigian and early Caradocian. The Ordovician is overlain directly by Silurian rocks.

Silurian Chitinozoans from Florida Well Samples: ABSTRACT
AAPG Bulletin, 1969End_Page 2036------------------------------Chitinozoans of Silurian age were recovered from four wells in Florida: Cone No. 1, Tillis No. 1, Hilliard No. 1, and Kie Vining No. 1. An attempt was made to establish a correlation between the four wells using the chitinozoan evidence, and the results are presented.

Aeronian and Telychian chitinozoans from Central Saudi Arabia.
2008A total of 58 core samples from three shallow core holes (Qusaiba-1, Baq'a-3 and Baq'a-4) penetrating the Qalibah Formation in Central Saudi Arabia have been investigated. The core samples are grey-greenish hemipelagic shale or silty-shale and yield very well-preserved and abundant Early Silurian chitinozoans.
