Incidence of Chlamydophila Pneumoniae Infection in Children During 2007–2010

2013
Chlamydophila pneumoniae is the etiological agent of pharyngitis, bronchitis, and pneumonia. The aim of the study was to evaluate the frequency of chlamydial respiratory infections in children in the Lower Silesia Region in Poland in 2007-2010. Role of a Chlamydophila psittaci plasmid protein, pgp3, as a marker of infection in cats infected with Chlamydophila felis.

2006
In this study we evaluated the role of a recombinant plasmid protein of Chlamydophila psittaci, pgp3, as a marker of chlamydial infection in animals infected with Chlamydophila felis. The only plasmid ORF found so far to encode for the antigenic protein ORF3 in Chlamydia trachomatis, codes similarly in C.

[Treatment and management of Chlamydophila felis infections in cats].

Tierarztliche Praxis. Ausgabe K, Kleintiere/Heimtiere, 2012
Chlamydophila felis is a common organism among cats and has been detected in up to 60% of cats with conjunctivitis or upper respiratory tract disease. Transmission is mainly caused by direct contact to symptomatic cats. Nevertheless, carriers without current clinical signs are able to shed the organism and, therefore, are a source of infection as well.
