Carcinogenicity of vinyl chloride and vinylidene chloride
Journal of Toxicology and Environmental Health, 1978Exposure of mice to 50, 250, or 1000 ppmm of vinyl chloride (VC) in the air for 6 h/d, 5 d/wk, caused a high incidence of bronchioloalveolar adenoma, mammary gland tumors, and hemangiosarcoma. Mammary gland tumors occurred in the females and included ductular adenocarcinoma and squamous and anaplastic cell carcinomas with metastasis to the lung ...

The clinical significance of chloride should place this ion on an equal basis with sodium, potassium, and bicarbonate in the evaluation of body fluid or acid-base status. The rationale for ordering serum chloride determinations includes basically all the indications for requesting the other three electrolytes, particularly when there is concern about a

Cl- channels have various functions such as regulation of cell volume, transepithelial transport, and control of excitability in nerve and muscle. Several different structural classes of Cl- channels have been identified recently by molecular cloning.

Solubility of hydrogen chloride in zinc chloride + sodium chloride melts
Journal of Chemical & Engineering Data, 1992Measurement of the solubility of HCl gas in ZnCl 2 +NaCl binary molten mixtures has been carried out by an elution technique. The solubility data were found to exhiibit trends characteristic of a chemical dissolution process, implying the formation of a complex species.

Abstract The arylation of carbonylgold chloride with diarylzinc compounds yields either triarylgoldzinc or diarylgoldzinc chlorides, depending on the reactant ratio and the nature of the aryl group. The same reactions with diphenylcadmium and diphenylmercury yield exclusively diphenylgoldcadmium chloride and diphenylgoldmercury chloride, respectively.

Copolymers of vinyl chloride and vinylidene chloride with some acid chlorides
Journal of Polymer Science Part A-1: Polymer Chemistry, 1971AbstractVinyl chloride and vinylidene chloride were copolymerized with 10‐acryloxydecanoyl chloride and 12‐acryloxystearoyl chloride by use of free‐radical initiator in solution to obtain copolymers with active chlorine groups. Alternative routes for making such copolymers which consisted of making the corresponding acrylic acid or acrylyl chloride ...
