Tripogon fibrosissimus (Poaceae: Chloridoideae: Tripogoninae): a new species from the Grand Canyon of India

Phytotaxa
A new species, Tripogon fibrosissimus, is described from dry Gandikota hills of Andhra Pradesh, South India. This species exhibits morphological affinities with the Afro-Arabian congeners, T. africanus and T. oliganthos. However, T.

The genus Ctenium (Poaceae: Chloridoideae: Chlorideae) in Africa

Kew Bulletin, 2014
The genus Ctenium Panzer includes c. 20 species from tropical Africa and the Neotropics. A survey of the African species was carried out, based mainly on the study of herbarium material, and resulted in the confirmation of eight species: C. canescens Benth., C. concinnum Nees, C. elegans Kunth, C. ledermannii Pilg., C.

Inflorescence structures and evolution in subfamily Chloridoideae (Gramineae)

Plant Systematics and Evolution, 2005
Inflorescence structures of 81 species and two subspecies (representing 61 genera) of the Chloridoideae have been investigated using stereo microscopy (SM). Inflorescences of the Chloridoi- deae are true polytelic inflorescences. Thirteen inflorescence subtypes are distinguished based on modes of the truncation and the homogenization.

Reconstructing ancestral chromosome numbers and inflorescence features in Eleusininae (Poaceae: Chloridoideae: Cynodonteae)

, 2020
The chromosome number in Poaceae has changed widely over 77 Myr of evolution and polyploidization. Chromosome number changes can suggest a high rate of diversification and evolutionary novelties, and such changes can contribute to speciation.
