Surfactant-Altered Rates of Chlorimuron and Metsulfuron Photolysis in Sunlight

Weed Science, 1990
Two nonionic surfactants altered photolysis rates of chlorimuron and metsulfuron in aqueous solutions and on glass slides exposed to sunlight. Photolysis of both herbicides followed first-order kinetics over an 8-day exposure period. Chlorimuron half-lives in solution were 5.8, 3.7, and 2.7 days in the presence of no surfactant, oxysorbic, and ...

Chlorimuron Dissipation in Water and Soil at 5 and 25 °C

Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry, 1997
Chlorimuron, 2-[[[[(4-chloro-6-methoxy-2-pyrimidinyl)amino]carbonyl]amino]sulfonyl]benzoic acid ethyl ester, was added to water (pH 7.5, hardness = 110 mg of CaCO 3 /L) and soil (sandy loam, pH 5.2) to determine the rates of dissipation at 5 and 25 °C.

Effect of chlorimuron‐ethyl on Bradyrhizobium japonicum and its symbiosis with soybean

Pest Management Science, 2005
AbstractPossible side‐effects of the acetolactate synthase (ALS)‐inhibiting herbicide chlorimuron‐ethyl on Bradyrhizobium japonicum (Kirchner & Jordan) in pure culture and on inoculated soybean plants growing under controlled conditions were investigated.

Photolysis of Aqueous Chlorimuron and Imazaquin in the Presence of Phenolic Acids and Riboflavin

Weed Science, 1993
Laboratory experiments were conducted to determine the effect of three phenolic acids, acetone, and riboflavin on aqueous photolysis of chlorimuron and imazaquin. The phenolic acids investigated were caffeic acid (CA), ferulic acid (FA), andp-coumaric acid (PCA).

Phytotoxic effects of salinity, imazethapyr, and chlorimuron on selected weed species

Weed Science, 2003
Abstract Greenhouse experiments were conducted to determine the effect of salinity, imazethapyr, and chlorimuron on weed growth. Five species, barnyardgrass, common cocklebur, ivyleaf morningglory, common purslane, and yellow nutsedge, were grown in potting soil and irrigated with nonsaline (EC ∼ 2 dS m−1) or sulfate-dominated saline (EC ∼ 7 dS m−1 ...

Joint Effect of Cadmium and Chlorimuron-Ethyl on Cadmium Accumulation of Wheat

Advanced Materials Research, 2012
The joint effects of Cd and Chlorimuron-ethyl(CE) on Cd accumulation in wheat shoot/root and SPT coefficient of Cd was carried out. Cd concentration in shoot and root increased with increasing soil Cd, but Cd concentration in shoot/root was lower than the same treatment when CE was added, and negative relationship between Cd concentration in shoot ...

Alcoolyse et hydrolyse chimique du chlorimuron éthyle

Weed Research, 1995

Isolation of chlorimuron-ethyl degrading strains from contaminated soil

2011 International Symposium on Water Resource and Environmental Protection, 2011
Six bacterial strains with chlorimuron-ethyl degrading ability were isolated from chlorimuron-ethyl contaminated soil by enrichment cultivation. The degradation of chlorimuron-ethyl was analyzed using high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC).

Adsorption-desorption behaviour of chlorimuron-ethyl herbicide on homoionic clays

2014
Laboratory studies were conducted to determine the adsorption-desorption behaviour of Chlorimuron-ethyl herbicide on three homoionic clays (Kaolinite (K), Mica (M) and Bentonite (B)), which are found in Indian soils. The adsorption- desorption data of chlorimuron-ethyl fitted well to Freundlich adsorption- desorption isotherm model (R² = 0.755 to 0.986)
