MoAti1 mediates mitophagy by facilitating recruitment of MoAtg8 to promote invasive growth in Magnaporthe oryzae

MoATI1 is found to be required for mitophagy and pathogenicity in Magnaporthe oryzae and can be used as a target for reducing rice blast by the host‐induced gene silencing (HIGS) strategy. Abstract Mitophagy is a selective autophagy for the degradation of damaged or excessive mitochondria to maintain intracellular homeostasis.
