Electrochemical zone for degradation of chlorinated ethenes in aquifers
The potential of applying electrochemistry as a means for remediation of harmful chlorinated ethene plumes in groundwater aquifers was investigated. The aim of this PhD project was to mature the method towards field-application for protection of the drinking water resource.

This study provides insights into the pyrolysis characteristics of polyurethanes, supporting the development of sustainable chemical recycling strategies. Experiments on a lab scale reveal the crucial influence of polymer composition and pyrolysis temperature.

A novel silicone elastomer based on selectively cleavable acetal cross‐linkers incorporated by hydrosilylation was developed. Different acetal cross‐linkers were synthesized and introduced into a silicone formulation of vinyl‐terminated PDMS and tetrakis(dimethylsiloxy)silane using Karstedt's catalyst.
