Atmospheric oxidation mechanism of chlorobenzene

Chemosphere, 2014
The atmospheric oxidation mechanism of chlorobenzene (CB) initiated by the OH radicals is investigated at M06-2X/6-311++G(2df, 2p) and ROCBS-QB3 levels. The oxidation is initiated by OH addition to the ortho (∼50%), para (∼33%) and meta (∼17%) positions, forming CB-OH adducts as R2, R3, and R4; while the ipso-addition is negligible (∼0.2%).

Biodegradation of chlorobenzene by indigenous bacteria

Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry, 1994
Abstract Soil and ground water from four sites chronically contaminated with chlorobenzenes were examined to determine whether indigenous bacteria could degrade the contaminants and whether the addition of specific chlorobenzene-degrading bacteria enhanced the degradation rate At each site, chlorobenzene-degrading bacteria were readily ...

Quantitation of urinary chlorobenzene metabolites by HPLC: concentrations of 4-chlorocatechol and chlorophenols in urine and of chlorobenzene in biological specimens of subjects exposed to chlorobenzene

International Archives of Occupational and Environmental Health, 1991
A simple method for the determination of 4-chlorocatechol (ClCh, 4-chloro-1,2-benzenediol) and chlorophenols (ClPh), metabolites of monochlorobenzene (ClBz), in urine by high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) is described. Enzymatic hydrolysates of urine were applied to a stainless-steel column packed with octadecyl-silanized silica gel, and a ...

Tricarbonyl(η6-chlorobenzene)chromium

Acta Crystallographica Section C Crystal Structure Communications, 2003
The title compound, [Cr(C(6)H(5)Cl)(CO)(3)], is the first group 6 tricarbonyl eta(6)-monohaloarene compound to be structurally characterized. It adopts a classic piano-stool structure, with the Cr(CO)(3) tripod assuming a syn-eclipsed conformation relative to the arene ring (varphi = 2.0 degrees ).

Two-color threshold photoionization spectroscopy of chlorobenzene-h5 and chlorobenzene-d5

Chemical Physics, 1993
Abstract The photoionization efficiency spectra of chlorobenzene- h 5 and chlorobenzene- d 5 . have been obtained by two-color laser photoionization spectroscopy. The spectra consist of direct ionization steps and display Franck-Condon-like behavior.
