The continuing significance of chiral agrochemicals

open access: yesPest Management Science, Volume 81, Issue 4, Page 1697-1716, April 2025.
In the time frame 2018–2023, around 43% of the 35 chiral agrochemicals introduced to the market (herbicides, fungicides, insecticides, acaricides, and nematicides) contain one or more stereogenic centers in the molecule, and almost 69% of them have been marketed as racemic mixtures of enantiomers or stereoisomers.

Water content of chlorophyll hydrate

Analytical Biochemistry, 1981
Abstract Thermogravimetry shows that polycrystalline chlorophyll a is a chlorophyll dihydrate. Neither thermogravimetry nor differential thermal analysis indicates the existence of a stable chl a monohydrate. Moreover it is found that larger amounts of water-free chlorophyll a (>50 mg) cannot be prepared by application of vacuum and heat in a ...

Rapid, nondestructive measurement of chlorophyll content in leaves with nonuniform chlorophyll distribution

Photosynthesis Research, 1988
A practical microcomputerized video image analysis method is described for quantifying leaf chlorophyll content without extraction. Chlorophyll concentration is estimated from densimetric measurements of whole, intact leaves. Direct comparison with conventional extraction measurements on Epipremnum aureum, a variegated species, verified the image ...

The chlorophyll fluorescence ratio F690/F730 in leaves of different chlorophyll content

Photosynthesis Research, 1990
The red laser-induced chlorophyll-fluorescence induction kinetics of predarkened leaf samples were registered simultaneously in the 690 and 730 nm regions i.e., in the region of the two chlorophyll fluorescence emission maxima. From the induction kinetics the chlorophyll fluorescence ratio F690/F730 was calculated.

Oceanic Chlorophyll-a Content

2013
Ever since the first Earth-observing satellite was launched, it became the dream of oceanographers to measure ocean chlorophyll a from space. Through more than a decade of dedicated theoretical, laboratory, and field research, the Coastal Zone Color Scanner was launched onboard NASA’s Nimbus-7 satellite in 1978.

Chlorophyll Content of Grain Sorghums

Botanical Gazette, 1933
1. The chlorophyll content in kafir, based upon weekly determinations, increases generally to the stage of seed maturity in the plant. It begins to decrease as the grain hardens. The chlorophyll content varies directly with the amount of evaporation and with the temperature. 2.

Chlorophyll Content, Chlorophyll Fluorescence and Water Deficit in Spring Wheat

Cereal Research Communications, 2001
Using greenhouse techniques that nearly-simulate field water deficit would be a supplemental method for screening potential cultivars adapted to water deficit environments. The objective of this study was to determine if there were differential responses to water deficit in chlorophyll content and chlorophyll fluorescence, and determine the drought ...
