Oxidative desulfuration of chlorpyrifos, chlorpyrifos‐methyl, and leptophos by rat brain and liver
Journal of Biochemical Toxicology, 1989AbstractThe oxidative desulfuration of the three phosphorothionate insecticides—chlorpyrifos, chlorpyrifos‐methyl, and leptophos—was studied in rat brain and liver. Hepatic microsomes demonstrated activities of 4–28 nmol/g/min, with male activity 2‐ to 4‐fold higher than female activity.

Chlorpyrifos-induced delayed polyneuropathy
Archives of Toxicology, 1991Chlorpyrifos [0,0-diethyl 0-(3,5,6-trichloro-pyridyl) phosphorothioate] caused delayed polyneuropathy in man. Contrary to previous studies, we report here that it also causes delayed polyneuropathy in the hen, the animal model for this toxicity.

Chlorpyrifos degradation in turkish soil
Journal of Environmental Science and Health, Part B, 1999Degradation of chlorpyrifos was evaluated in laboratory studies. Surface (0-15 cm) and subsurface (40-60 cm) clay loam soils from a pesticide-untreated field were incubated in biometer flasks for 97 days at 25 degrees C. The treatment was 2 micrograms g-1 [2,6-pyridinyl-14C] chlorpyrifos, with 74 kBq radioactivity per 100 g soil flask.

Toxicologic evaluation of chlorpyrifos in cats
American Journal of Veterinary Research, 1988SUMMARY Twenty-four male domestic shorthair cats were used to evaluate the acute and chronic effects of a single, toxic but sublethal, orally administered dose of chlorpyrifos.
