Study of lithium vapor flow in a detached divertor using DSMC code
A detached divertor is predicted to be necessary to handle the heat fluxes of a demonstration fusion power plant. The lithium vapor box divertor localizes dense lithium vapor to cause stable detachment.

Variably positioned guide vanes for aerodynamic choking [PDF]
A choking device to cause a sonic barrier to be formed which reduces the transmission of noise in a direction opposed to the direction of air flow in a compressor that may be part of an aircraft gas turbine engine is described.

Two-phase choked flow of cryogenic fluids in converging-diverging nozzles [PDF]
Data are presented for the two phase choked flow of three cryogenic fluids - nitrogen, methane, and hydrogen - in four converging-diverging nozzles. The data cover a range of inlet stagnation conditions, all single phase, from well below to well above ...

Nanoporous Microelectrodes for Neural Electrophysiology Recordings in Organotypic Culture
The highly porous microelectrodes have been designed and printed on culture membranes, allowing to record electrophysiological neural activity for rodent brain slices. To keep the biocompatible nanoporous structure, the microelectrodes and insulative layer are fabricated on the bottom of culture membranes with only small connector pads added on the top.

Fully Inkjet‐Printed Organic Electrochemical Transistors: A Path Toward All‐Organic Electronics
Fully printed organic electrochemical transistors eliminate the metal electrodes used in conventional printed organic electronics. This work demonstrates the state of the art in three applications using PBFDO and PEDOT:PSS materials: a single‐material strain sensor for real‐time detection of finger flexion, an ion sensor for monitoring aqueous NaCl ...
