Impact of Semaglutide on fat mass, lean mass and muscle function in patients with obesity: The SEMALEAN study

open access: yesDiabetes, Obesity and Metabolism, Volume 28, Issue 1, Page 112-121, January 2026.
Abstract Aims Semaglutide, a GLP‐1 receptor agonist, has shown efficacy in promoting weight loss. However, limited data exist on its impact on lean mass, muscle function, and metabolic adaptations.
